WEDNESDAY, 4/17/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”  (Psalm 119:11)

We are meeting at 7:00AM today to trim the hedges around the church buildings.  We?  Do I have a rat in my pocket?  I am not sure who the “we” will be but I do know that one kind soul called last night to say that he will be there to help me.  This is open to men, women, teens, children, young, old, staff members, deacons, leaders, lay members, whomever!  We need tools used to trim hedges i.e. trimmers, rakes, trucks to carry off clippings, et cetera.  As Miss Kittie has often said, “many hands make light work!”

There will be no services, classes or other activities on our campus today.  Please pass the word!

Zach Brown’s paternal grandmother passed from this life.  The visitation takes place today from noon until the 1:00PM service time at the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.  Pray for Zach and family.

Maria Wainwright called me around 9:00PM last night to tell me that Charles’ mother had just passed from this life.  She was a resident in a local convalescent home.  Pray for Charles and family as they walk through this valley.

Brenda Poiroux was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon.  Again, she has done amazingly well through her surgery and recovery.  Praise the Lord.  Keep praying.

Did you hear that shout?  I did!  Joe Ladnier got word from his doctor yesterday that he will be discharged from the hospital this Friday, 4/19, if nothing changes.  Joe is a happy camper and has worked extremely hard to get to this point.  Good for Joe.  Keep praying.

Wendy Johnston’s surgery is scheduled for 12:30PM on Friday.  I assume that is correct but with her hearing issues related to her age she could have not heard the doctor clearly – just saying!

The forecast calls for rain beginning around the middle of the afternoon tomorrow with more rain on Friday afternoon.  However, the forecast for Saturday and Sunday is zero chance of rain.  I pray that will be true.  I do know that we have been enjoying absolutely beautiful weather since the rains came early Sunday morning.

Lord willing, I will get some more garden seed in the ground late today.  We shall see.

The Blue Jackets swept the Lightning in the first round of the playoffs.  Is that incredible or what?

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.
