TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

Wow!  The number of folks who attended the visitation for Jonathan Seaman was amazing!  Folks stood in line an average of two hours to get the opportunity to express their love, prayers, and support to the family.  The public visitation began at 5:00PM and ended shortly before 9:30PM.  What an incredible blessing to this family!

I was particularly impressed by the administration, teachers, and students of Faith Academy.  Jonathan’s girlfriend, Carrie Wilson, is a senior at FA and those folks came in strong numbers to support her even though many of them had never met Jonathan.  In my opinion, that was a strong, positive testimony for Faith and their caring for one of their own.

The Friendship family did well in attending the visitation and hosting the large number of family members and friends too.  Thank you for being ministers!

So, today we will gather around two gravesides.  First, Vance May’s service will take place at noon from Serenity and he will be buried in Serenity Memorial Gardens.  Pray for Vance’s family especially Nancy & Linda.

Then, Jonathan’s service will take place at 2:00PM from the auditorium and he will be buried in the Grand Bay Cemetery.  Pray for his family too especially Stacey, Savannah, and Edna.

Lord willing, I will attend Vance’s service and then will preach Jonathan’s service.  I would appreciate your prayers as I pray and study this morning for that service.  As the Lord brings it to your mind, would you take a few moments to pray during the 2:00PM hour today?  Thank you!
