Sherry Lee, wife of Tim Lee, called me shortly before noon today to tell me that Tim passed away Saturday afternoon.  She didn’t call me earlier because she knew I was at the Bama game and didn’t want to interrupt and she knew that Sundays are busy days for me.

The visitation will take place at Gilmer’s Funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00AM this Wednesday, 10/10, and the service will begin at 11:00AM. 

Cecil Guidry is graciously coordinating the meal for this family.  Plans call for us to provide the noon meal on Wednesday.  Friendship family members reading this can call the church office to let Cecil know you will help in providing the food. 

Pray for this family and thank you in advance for your ministry to them through this time. 

We had a blessed day yesterday in our services.  The GRACE meal was a success and many thanks to those who participated as well as the team who prepared the meal. 

Our initial Saturday night prayer time was a blessing too.  Our numbers weren’t what we had hoped for but the prayer time was sweet.  Our Saturday prayer team will meet at 8:00PM this Saturday, 10/13, and you are invited to join them. 

We are in the final week of our forty days of prayer emphasis.  I encourage you to take the time to come to the auditorium at some point this week to pray. 

I am leaving in a few minutes to attend the funeral service for Crystal Davis.  I saw a good number of the Friendship family at the visitation last night and I appreciate you supporting Carl, Connie, and the family. 

Please continue to pray for Tim Lee and his family as he battles cancer.  I have plans to visit with them later today. 

Bret Hart, if possible, save some time for me at lunch this Friday!  Lord willing, I will be there.  Coach Nate, I am simply ignoring your e-mail!
