THURSDAY, 11/1

Christmas is here!  Not literally but it is certainly just around the corner as we have now entered the month of November.  Anyone know where October went?

The annual Hallelujah Festival went very smoothly last night thanks to Bro. Benny & Julie McGath and a host of workers.  I really appreciate all those who helped in any way as you did a great job!  It was a different Wednesday and it was a good one too!

Yesterday morning, Aaron Odom, had surgery that lasted about three hours.  The doctors were concerned about a large “mass” in his neck area.  It turned out to be a really large thyroid and they successfully removed it.  Tests will be done but the doctors fully expect the reports to be negative.  Aaron may go home from the hosptial today.

Today, Carla Felps Kyser goes for a bone scan.  She will meet with the doctor next week.  Please join me in praying that this scan will show an eradication of the cancer.  God is able!

My uncle, Bill Brown, has a PSA test today.  He will meet with the doctor on 11/12 to learn if the cancer was contained or is in other parts of his body.  I would appreciate your prayers for him.

We have a number of folks who continue to work on Operation Homecoming – thanks!  I ask all members of the Friendship family to remember the Operation Homecoming workday on Saturday, 11/10, beginning at 7:00AM.  We will end at 11:33AM as the Bama game kicks off at 11:34AM!

You need to note that we change our clocks back one hour this Saturday night.  This is the time when we “fall back” which is a good thing for church attendance the next morning.

Don’t forget the GRACE meal this Sunday.  Hope you have a great Thursday with Jesus!
