THURSDAY, 11/8

The Lord blessed and we had a good Wednesday.  Our Girls In Action were involved in a walk-a-thon raising money for world hunger and thanks to each person who supported them.  Our business session was necessary, quick, and exemplified Christ.  We continue to make improvements on the grounds and in the buildings and I am thankful to each person who is helping in any way.

Neither Sharon Jardee or Ricky Mang were allowed to come home from the hospital yesterday.  Sharon hopes to come today and I am not sure about Ricky.  Jack Leasure was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.  He has pneumonia and will be in the hospital for a few days.

I preached Emma Brewer’s funeral service on 10/20.  Her brother, Vernon Frazier, from Texas attended that service.  Vernon went with us to Guatemala one time and has since taken a number of trips back working with Casa Aleluya and also with Paul & Cristy Leytham.  A few days after returning to Texas from the funeral, Vernon suffered a stroke.  Word came late yesterday afternoon that Vernon passed away.  I am saddened by this news and ask you to pray for that family.

Our annual Widow’s Nite takes place tonight beginning at 6:30PM.  Our deacons, staff, and their spouses will host thirty-one widows/widowers for a time of fellowship and encouragement.

I hope that you will have a great day with Jesus.

O by the way, Morris Bryant was in the service last night – amazing!
