WEDNESDAY, 10/1/08

The arrangements for Miss Irene Sessions are as follows:  visitation with the family tonight from 5:00 – 8:00PM from the auditorium of First Baptist Grand Bay.  The service will take place tomorrow morning, 10/2, at 10:00AM also from First Baptist.  Pray for Miss Irene’s six children and their families during this time of sorrow.

Miss Joyce Bosarge had a radiation treatment late yesterday afternoon and they say it went well.  She may be discharged from the hospital today.  Keep praying for her.

Mr. Wilkinson’s situation remains much the same.  Yesterday, they were slowing trying to bring him out of the medically induced sedation.  Keep praying!

Carla Felps Kyser had her scan done yesterday with another planned for tomorrow.  Kelli Fontenot Stork has suffered from headaches for years.  Yesterday, they did a spinal tap and believe her problem could be connected to the spinal fluid.  Phyllis Bush continues to be at home.  Martha Pierre’s mother was moved to a convalescent facility in Mobile.  Pray for these folks!

Mike Moreland left a comment on yesterday’s post endorsing the movie, “Fireproof”, and you should go back and read his thoughts.

The “force” was out last night as the boys from Friendship won another softball game by the score of 18 – 3.  They are a machine!  Rusty “Saban” Suthoff has them in the process of becoming a dynasty!

A bunch of the players and fans went to a McDonalds after the game last night.  I read early this morning where a guy in LA beat up a sixteen year old girl because she accused him of breaking in line inside a McDonalds!  Wow!

I also read where you have an 18% higher chance of dying in an automobile accident on November 4, 2008.  Why?  That is the presidential election day and the studies now show that, dating back to 1976, the number of auto accident related deaths in the US increase by 18% on presidential election day.  I think I may just vote absentee!

The folks who will attend our college/young professionals Bible study tonight are asked to park at Michael & Deidra’s or Jordon & Jennifer’s.  Please do not drive/park on the north side of Soy’s place.

The Dodgers play those Cubbies tonight in the first round of the MLB playoffs.  On paper the Cubs should win but this isn’t being played on paper!  Go Dodgers!

This looks to be a regular Wednesday at Friendship.  I hope many members of the Friendship family will join us for our services/Bible studies today and tonight.  I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus!
