SATURDAY, 10/3/09
Word came to me yesterday that Charles Lee James passed away. Charles Lee’s son, Ken, and I are lifelong friends. Only a couple of miles separated our houses and Ken & I are in that group of guys who went to school together for all twelve years of our elementary/high school education. Great guy!
The family will gather for a time of visitation tonight and the funeral service will take place tomorrow afternoon. I simply ask you to join me in praying for the James family – Miss Polly, Ken, Jill, and their families.
A group of 44 folks (43 first timers) from Danville Baptist Church will fly from Atlanta this morning and use the L.G. Camp, Jr. Mission House as their base for the next eight days to do ministry. This group is being led by my brother, Eddie. Pray that they will have an awesome week of ministry.
Pray for Eddie’s wife, Sue. She did not make this trip as planned since her only daughter-in-law is seemingly close to giving birth to the twins. IMO, Sue made the right decision but she will be missed by the team.
