TUESDAY, 2/22/11

As far as I know, there are no changes with the folks from Friendship who are recovering from recent hospital stays/surgeries.  I did find out that Rachel Jackson’s grandmother is back in the hospital.  It is possible that she could have a heart cath later this week.

Our final week of the Upward basketball season has begun.  There were two games last night and there will be two tonight, two Thursday night, and one Friday night.  Kristy has done a really nice job of coordinating this ministry and has kept such a great attitude through it all.  Raymond Wilkinson has once again proven to be a very, very valuable asset to this ministry.  What a great guy!

The decision has been made to refrain from all renovation work in the evenings this week – just too complicated with the Upward games taking place.  However, I am hoping that we can get some doors hung, et cetera during the day.  Our next work effort (east end) will take place next Monday, 2/28, time TBA.

Sad news out of California and New Zealand – a church bus was involved in an accident in California with the driver being killed and twenty three others being injured.  The earthquake in New Zealand killed 65 folks.  Join me in praying for these folks and their families.

A study now says that you can be better protected from Alzheimer’s by learning a second language.  Here is my question – if you live in Morgan County and learn to speak Lawrence County, does that count?

Word has it that Melo has been traded to the Knicks.  Hallelujah!  Why?  Because I am sick of hearing/reading about it!  Actually, I am not a big NBA fan minus the Lakers.  I did not watch it but the dunk contest was rigged!  Anyone who can dunk three basketballs in one jump has to win it all!  The only other guy I know who can do that is Rex Looney!

Lisa and I are leaving for Atlanta late this afternoon.  Charles Stanley is looking at retirement and . . . .  Details tomorrow!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.
