THURSDAY, 10/27/11

Happy birthday to my younger brother, Freddie.  He is now ten years older than our sister.

The family of Louise Morris has respectfully asked that no one except immediate family members visit with her from this point forward.  This includes everyone.  For example, Lisa went with me on Tuesday to visit Louise and that will now no longer be the case.  I know you will join me in respecting/honoring their wishes.  Keep praying for Louise.

Marisa shared in prayer meeting last night that Carla will have another chemo treatment next Thursday.  Brenda Timberlake shared that her sister, Lisa Thompson, was not able to receive her treatment yesterday because of a low blood cell count.  Earl Gunter’s radiation treatments seem to be going well.

Pattie Suthoff is doing such a good job of keeping us updated on her grandson, Gage, via the comments on this blog.  I appreciate her doing that and ask that you keep praying for Gage and family.

Pastor Jack Bailey had surgery yesterday.  According to Joe David, Miss June is going to keep him sedated until his appointment with the doctor tomorrow.  If the Cards are involved in a close game tonight, she may forget about him.  Worse, if they lose, she may really forget about him – LOL!  Pray for Dr. Jack!

Our “potluck with the pastor/open house” was a huge success.  Lisa outdid herself with a major assist from Ann & Marisa.  I appreciate everyone who took part in the meal.  We were blessed to have you in our home.  (By the way, we will not have another “PWTP” until January because of Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Do not forget the work day this Saturday and the Hallelujah Festival on Monday.  Workers needed for both ministry opportunity.

My good friend, Spencer Cole, coaches volleyball at Danville High.  Yesterday, they came within three points of advancing to the championship game in the 3A state volleyball tourney.  They had a very good year and I give Spencer and the team my congratulations.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
