PRAY FOR BRO. DAVID MILLER (UPDATED)

Bro. David & Miss Glenda Miller drove to Richland, MS last night and stopped to spend the night.  David told Glenda that he was about to pass out and did.  She awaken him and he passed out again.  Glenda called 911 and they transported him to a Jackson hospital.  At some point early this morning, they placed a temporary pacemaker into his heart.

Plans now call for a permanent pacemaker to be installed tomorrow.  Pray for Bro. David, Miss Glenda, and the family.

MONDAY, 7/1/13

The funeral service for Miss Bea Unrue’s niece, Cynthia Gates, will take place this morning at 10:00AM.  It will be held from the chapel of the Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore.  Pray for the Gates family.

Also, the visitation (12:00 noon) with the Steve Mayfield family and service (2:00PM) for Steve will take place tomorrow, 7/2.  Visitation and service from the Serenity Funeral Home.

The Mayfield family is a large one numerically.  We need members of the Friendship family to call the office today to volunteer to help with the food.  It would be so very helpful if you could call before noon.  Thank you in advance for ministering to this family.

The Lord blessed and we had a delightful day in our services yesterday.  Evangelist David Miller did his usual wonderful job of sharing the Word.  The attendance was strong in the two morning services and very good in the evening service.  I do not have a total of what you gave through the love offering but I know it was good.  Thank you for praying, attending, and giving.  To God be the glory!

Edna did a great job of feeding David & Glenda and about a million more family members yesterday.  David said the house was “wall to wall” with food and people!  Thank you Allen & Edna for being such gracious hosts.

Just so you know, we are on a regular schedule this Wednesday – morning and evening.  The church office will be closed on Thursday in observance of Independence Day.

Today promises to be a great day for me.  Titus spent the night with me which is always a blessing.  (Soy is mad because he thought that he and I would “camp out” in the living room while Lisa was away!)  Lisa and the girls should arrive home early tonight – o happy day!  Daphne joined the “smother dad” party last night as she had to cook supper.  I just pray that Lisa does not precede me in death!  I know some “helicopter” moms and now I know at least two “helicopter” daughters!

Hien, Alan, & JC landed safely in Atlanta around 4:30AM today so they should be back in Mobile around noon.  God is good!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.
