THE LORD TAKETH AWAY

This afternoon around 4:30PM, Milinda Spiller was promoted from this life.  She passed peacefully at her Uncle Bobby and Aunt Helen’s house.

Tentative arrangements call for a visitation with the family on Monday night, 8/5, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the Grand Bay Church of God with the service on Tuesday morning, 8/6, at 10:00AM also at the Grand Bay Church of God.  Please note that these are tentative arrangements at this point in time.

Appreciation goes to Pastor Alton Stokes and Pastor Tim Cauley for being with the Spiller/Furby family during this difficult time.  As it stands now, their churches, Grand Bay Church of God and Forts Lake Assembly of God respectively, will provide the food for this family.

THE LORD GIVETH

Matt & Savannah Moore welcomed their first daughter and second child, Halle Ann, into this world today at 2:01PM.  Halle checked in weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.  Mother and daughter are doing well.  Congratulations to Matt, Savannah, and the entire family.

FRIDAY, 8/2/13

Brenda Timberlake’s surgery has been postponed until next Thursday.  She was concerned about missing the revival services so now she will not have to miss them.

It is my understanding that Savannah Moore may not be induced today.  She is going to the hospital and then a decision will be made.

Men’s breakfast tomorrow at 8:00AM.

Deacons meeting this Sunday afternoon, 8/4, at 5:00PM in my office.

We are not going to have Discipleship Training this Sunday afternoon, 8/4, in order that we may focus all of our efforts on the revival service.  Also, we have had some last minute additions to the teaching number and this will allow them more time to prepare.

We will observe the ordinance of baptism as a part of our evening service this Sunday, 8/4.

Dr. Jack sent me an e-mail yesterday stating that he had gotten a good number of e-mail messages from members of the Friendship family.  Here is my hope for today – that 20 more folks from the Friendship family will send him an e-mail of prayer support and encouragement.  Please stop now and send him that message.  We still have staff members and deacons who need to get in on this means of support for the revival.  Now is the time!

Enjoyed my very brief time with mama and other family members last night.  I appreciate Deidra going with me to help drive.

As of 6:00AM yesterday, we had zero eggs in the coop.  However, when Soy went out at 8:00AM there was one egg!  Never mind that it was real white and had EB stamped on it – it was an egg!  Too early and dark to check this morning!

I plan on posting tomorrow as we pray for revival.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus!
