FRIDAY, 9/13/13

The senior adults will finish their trip home today.  Pray they will have uneventful travels.

Heard from Brenda Poiroux yesterday afternoon.  The source of her pain is a pinched nerve.  Medication and therapy will hopefully cure the problem.

Bill Kendrick posted his contact information in the comment section of yesterday’s entry if any men are interested in the apologetics conference.

Sunday will mark the halfway point of September ’13 and we have had a “light” response to signing up for next year’s Summer GRACE Ministries trips.  This is not uncommon as members of the Friendship family tend to wait until the last minute and beyond to sign up. Just a reminder that these trips will open to others beginning October 1.  Sign up forms are in the foyer of the auditorium.

We will observe the ordinance of baptism as a part of our worship service this Sunday night, 9/15.  Baptismal candidates should meet at 5:30PM in the church office.

Speaking of the church office, we should be ready to move into the new office suite within the next couple of weeks.  I have a specific target date in mind and will announce it once I learn it is attainable.

Lord willing, I will be preaching in all three services this Sunday.  I hope to be joined by many members of the Friendship family.

Plan on watching some college football tomorrow.  Will Bama beat A&M?  I sure hope so.  I know Arnold Ross & Chuck are not going to like this but I think AU will beat MSU tomorrow night.  I also think the Mississippi Black Bears are going to dispose of the Longhorns.

It is almost 4:00AM and Lisa is pushing me out the door to Wal Mart.  The weed eater and mower await daylight.  It should be a long day.  Hopefully, it will be a productive one.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.
