TUESDAY, 10/1/13

The arrangements for Lindsey Vice’s maternal grandmother are as follows:  visitation with the family from 11:00AM until 12:30PM on Wednesday, 10/2, at the Holder Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS.  The funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation.

The funeral service for Miss Arlene Crawley will take place this morning at 11:00AM from our church auditorium.  Thank you to Miss Vinnie Brewer and all others who are helping with the feeding of the family.  We are blessed to be able to partner with the folks from Faith Baptist in providing this meal.  Bro. Jerry & Bro. Kerry put the tables and chairs in place yesterday for the meal.  Miss Linda Green, Tina Wilkinson and Rhea Rhea attended to the refreshments for the family last night.  Thank you to each person who helped in any way.

Miss Joyce Davie seems to be holding her own.  Keep praying!

We have much taking place this coming weekend.  Men’s breakfast at 7:00AM on Saturday.  This particular breakfast is open to all as we will have a work day at the church immediately following (8:00AM).  We need to mow, trim hedges, spray weed killer, et cetera as we prepare for the Fall & Winter months.  Also, we hope to at least begin moving the church offices to the new office suite.  We will finish the work day no later than 11:21AM!  If you cannot attend the work day on Saturday but can come during the week, contact me and let me know what job(s) you want to tackle.

This just in – Bernard Suthoff has been a key leader in getting the new office suite ready.  He says that it needs a good cleaning tomorrow and/or Thursday.  Interested in helping?  Contact Bro. Jerry or me for the details.

Tim & Peggy Knighten are leading our folks who want to participate in the “Walk For Bibles” on Dauphin Island this Saturday, 10/5.  The walk begins at 8:00AM.  Contact Tim or Peggy for all of the details.  Anyone participating in the WFB is excused from the work day.  (We will have video cameras on the island!)

Rick Bradley, Jr & Kayla Brown will get married this Saturday, 10/5, at some barn in Saraland.  The ceremony begins at 6:00PM.  The Friendship family is invited.

Something important will take place in the morning service tomorrow.  I assume it will change the future of the Friendship family.  A lot of prayer and thought has gone into this decision.  It will also be shared during the evening service.

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.
