REVIVAL PRAYER & CONTACT

I am looking for 120 folks who will take one day out of the next forty days and pray specifically for revival.  Pastor Jack Bailey will be the messenger during the dates of Sunday, 1/12/14, through Wednesday, 1/15/14.

As you are praying on your assigned day, you will also be asked to contact Pastor Jack via e-mail, a card, a letter or text.  Simply let him know that you are praying for him and for revival.

I need folks to send me an e-mail to sign up for this ministry.  You can request a specific date or just tell me to assign you a date.  As it stands right now (10:10AM on 12/3), we need one more person for this Thursday, two for Friday & Saturday, and one for Sunday.

Folks, this is not hard.  Anyone can pray.  The correspondence can be as simple as “I am praying for you!”

Please let me hear from you!  Thanks!

TUESDAY, 12/3/13

Our second oldest daughter, Daphne, turns 30 today – wow!  She was born just yesterday.  It was a Saturday afternoon basically during the Iron Bowl (Legion Field days), under the threat of a tornado, and you do not even want to know who won the game!  I should have gone into the birthing room instead of watching the game!  Anyway, I am married to a woman who looks 30 and now we have two daughters who have reached that age.  Happy birthday Daphne!

Today, we begin our 40 days of prayer for the revival services.  Karla Cooper, Reb Nevin & June Strickler are on the point today.  Pastor Jack’s e-mail address is jack@danvillebaptist.org.  His mailing address is P.O. Box 70 Danville, AL 35619.  If these ladies had rather send a text, contact me personally for his cell number.  Tomorrow’s folks on the point are Jerry Hovel, Lisa Turrentine, and Diane Vickers.  Folks, we need to be intentional in our prayers for revival.  Plus, we want to send Dr. Jack a note of support and encouragement.

We need two more folks on point for this Thursday, Friday, & Saturday and one more for this Sunday.  Please send me an e-mail if you will take any of these seven openings.  Our goal is 120 different folks praying and contacting during these forty days.

Robin Seabrook was to be discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Miss Jackie Goff was to be sent to a rehab facility.  I did not find anyone with Debbie’s dad.  Did see Al & Cindy Stokes as Cindy’s father had a heart procedure done.

Jennie Riviere was taken to the ER yesterday but I am not sure if they admitted her to the hospital.  I will call her mother, Lynne, today.  Also, have plans to visit the convalescent home today.

David McElwee is presently in the hospital.  I think tomorrow marks the beginning of his “rest” period before the transplant period.

Bro. Chris hosted an exciting meeting last night about a huge student ministry event scheduled for Saturday, 1/11/14.  Prayer warriors needed!  Helpers too!  Thanks to those who attended last night’s meeting.  Good stuff!

We have had four folks sign up for the text alerts.  However, we had six sign up to receive these blog entries via their e-mail.  We have eight readers and three quarters of them want these entries sent directly to their in box.  Is that exciting or what!

The Saints game was ugly last night!  Is Seattle that good or does home field make that big of a difference?

This entry is too long!  I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.
