FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR EDWIN BLACKMON

The visitation with the Edwin Blackmon family will take place this Thursday, 1/23, from 1:00PM until the 2:00PM service time.  The visitation and service will take place from the Union Baptist Church in Grand Bay.  Keep praying for the Blackmon family.

At this time, I am not sure about the feeding of the Blackmon family on Thursday.  Union Baptist is, I think, leading this effort.  Miss Vinnie is in contact with them and will let us know if we need to be involved.

TUESDAY, 1/21/14

Today’s Bible reading – Genesis 42:18-43:34, Matthew 13:47-14:12, Psalm 18:16-36, Proverbs 4:7-10

Edwin Blackmon was promoted to Heaven around 8:00AM yesterday morning.  I did not post anything online before now as the family wanted to notify their out of town family personally before they got word via social media, et cetera.  The arrangements will be finalized today.

Edna’s brother’s arrangements are as follows – visitation with the family tonight from 5:00 – 8:00PM from the Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS.  The service takes place tomorrow, 1/22, also from the MCFH.  Pray for the Miller family.

Karla & Harper are doing well and should go home from the hospital today.  Kayla Hatcher is taking care of the meal from our Sunday School class (hope they like Sam’s Superburgers)!

Tyler Williams (Miss Annette’s grandson) was involved in an automobile accident last Friday night.  He had his spleen surgically removed.  He is very sore but will discharged from the hospital as soon as he meets certain criteria.  (Claire Turner was his nurse yesterday and I am sure she was the best nurse yet!)

William & Amber’s daughter was discharged from the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Carolyn Blaylock remains hospitalized.

Shawn Burwell is in the hospital and Nikki is having a heart cath today, 1/21.

I think the RA games played in the CAB yesterday went well.  I was not able to make it for any of the games.  Thanks to Bro. Chris for handling that ministry.

Pastor Jack Bailey wrote that he had a tomato sandwich for supper last night and asked me to say “thanks” to Charles Grant and Jimmy Tagert.  What PJ does not know is that I have had tomato sandwiches for about five meals since the revival services ended – nothing like them!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.
