MONDAY, 3/3/14 PART II

Myra Herod’s brother in law is named Dan Green.  Here are the arrangements for the visitation and service:  visitation on Wednesday, 3/5, from 11:00AM until the 12:00PM service time.  Visitation and service at Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore.

Lisa and I visited with Pastor Rodney & Rhonda Coleman and their daughter, Lindsey.  Folks, Lindsey is very, very low physically.  Would you stop right now and voice a prayer for this family?  Thank you!

God gets the glory, period!  I do want to say “thank you” to the members of the Friendship family for being faithful!  We had a really strong attendance in our early service, a good attendance in our second service, and a decent attendance in our evening service.  The PM attendance was helped by a number of guests who follow southern gospel and/or The Revelations.  Good day!  Glory to God!

Bubba Benefield’s great nephew, Michael Iler, was tragically taken from this life in an automobile accident early, early yesterday morning.  He was 21 years old.  His wife, also 21 years of age, is in serious condition in a Hattiesburg, MS hospital.  Once again, pray for the Benefield family.  Arrangements pending.

Myra Herod’s brother-in-law passed away on Saturday morning.  He lived in the Houston, TX area.  They will bring the body to Mobile for burial.  We will post the arrangements on this blog once they are completed.

Betty Mayo passed away late last week.  The visitation took place on Saturday night and the service will be held from Serenity Funeral Home today at 12:00PM.

If you followed Alisha Vice’s blog during her time in Uganda, you will remember young Mary and her baby, Kevin.  Word came to me through Rita last night that Mary passed away.  Pray for the family and pray for Alisha.

John Curl’s nephew was also involved in an automobile accident.  He is in a local hospital.  I am not sure how his condition is listed i.e. serious or critical but I do know he and his family need our prayers.

Pastor Rodney & Rhonda Coleman’s daughter, Lindsey, is not doing well.  Rita Vice spent the night to be there with them and to help.

Carolyn Blaylock is in a rehabilitation facility.  Kent told me yesterday morning that she is very weak physically.  Therapy will be a challenge due to her weakness.

J.L. Nesmith is at home but remains a very sick man.

Art Elliott will have a scan on Wednesday and then meet with an oncologist on Thursday.

Phil Morgan’s mother has been in the hospital but will be moved to a convalescent facility today.

Lisa Thompson will have another treatment today.

It was good to see Ruby Gulley, Kathleen Henderson, Kevin Lunsford and Bill Unrue in our second morning service yesterday.

Thank you for supporting our college students yesterday by purchasing the meals.  Special thanks to Jim & Glenda Chinners for leading this effort.

The pictorial directory pictures are ready and available for you to pick up.  There will be one, and only one, make up day for pictures on Sunday, 3/16.  Kim will announce the details.  Kim and those who have helped her have done an excellent job with this project thus far.

Have I mentioned that Pastor Ted Traylor will be our special guest in a special service on Thursday, March 13, beginning at 6:30PM?  Join me in helping us have a standing room only crowd that night!

This post is too long!  My apologies!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.
