FRIDAY, 1/15/16

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14 KJV)

Today’s Bible reading:  Job 40 – 42

Bro. Louis Reyer did well through his procedure yesterday.  They inflated his lung(s) and put in a substance that is supposed to adhere to the ribs and lungs thereby causing the lung(s) to not collapse.  (I appreciate Bro. Kerry sitting with the family during that procedure as I had a cough that would not stop yesterday so I did not want to be around the hospital)  Bro. Louis was placed on a vent and is in ICU but should be moved to a room today if I understand correctly.

Deanna Crawley, daughter of Michael & Alisia, was placed in ICU yesterday.  Her sugar count was dangerously high.

Debbie Kendrick sent a message yesterday saying that Brian is doing extremely well in his physical therapy.  Scheduled to be moved to a rehab facility on 1/29.  He and the family are grateful.

Lisa and I attended the visitation with the Dot Gore family last night.  Mrs. Gore is Lynn Brewer’s mother.  Miss Vinnie Brewer is Lynn’s mother-in-law.  The service will take place today in Wayne County, Mississippi.

When yesterday started, we had twelve children at the feeding center needing sponsors.  This morning that number stands at three boys.  Interested?  Contact me via e-mail immediately.  First come, first served.  By the way, I need to hear from the folks who are presently sponsors to confirm your intent to continue in that ministry role.

Upward basketball tomorrow from 8:00AM until 4:00PM.  Pray for this ministry.

Had a guy contact me yesterday to tell me that our blog readership remains in  double digits as he reads maybe twice a year.  Not so fast my friend!  He is not considered a “blog reader!”  We may only have nine or so blog readers but they are faithful as in every day!  I was insulted and told that guy to move over to Pastor Jack Bailey’s blog!

Lisa and I went to a local restaurant last night after attending the visitation.  We were “joined” by a certain Pentecostal pastor, his wife, their son and his wife.  Guess who got stuck with the tab?  I will just say that all of the Pentecostals left the restaurant with the same amount of money in their pocket as when they walked into the restaurant.  I am ok with that – really am.  Just did not understand the “to go” orders!  Who was the pastor?  You know that I cannot say!  Have not seen him since our joint service and would not want to embarrass him or his worship leader son!  Felt like I had been out to eat with Pastor Shirlon and Jennifer!

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.
