“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:10

Today’s Bible reading – Isaiah 5-6; Ephesians 1

Good Wednesday.  God is good and we are thankful!

I had the opportunity to visit with Robert Baria yesterday afternoon.  It is the first time in the last four or five times that I have actually gotten to see him.  As usual, Roseanne was there with Robert and he looked really good.  Was able to speak to us and was all smiles.  He knew it was Wednesday and wanted to go to our church service – how about that?  Keep praying for Robert.

Also visited with Pastor Louie Davis as he has a blood clot in one leg and another one in a lung.  They are treating him with medications.  Pray for Pastor Davis.

Attended the visitation with Wendy’s family yesterday afternoon.  Wow, what a crowd!

Attended the GBMS volleyball game yesterday afternoon.  One of the mothers had promised to get me in for “free” on her pass – whatever!  Cost me four dollars!  Congratulations to Haley & Bailey on the win!

Wes, Jennifer, Louis & Emma Garrison will soon be moving to Arab, Alabama.  I am happy for them as they will be close to both sets of grandparents.  However, I am sad for us as a church family.  The Garrisons are a wonderful family.  I am trying to help them find a good Baptist church with a good pastor in Arab.  Any suggestions?

Have had several comments about the turnip greens soup.  People want the recipe.  Here it is – take your left over turnip greens and add water.  Stir. Put in a bowl and take it to your pastor’s house.  Call it soup.

The Dodgers need one more win or a Cleveland loss to secure the best record in the majors.  Bobby & the boys are on cruise control and are waiting on the Cubbies.

I have failed to mention this in any of my posts this week.  My cousin-in-law (is that a word?), Pastor Roy Crouch, and his son, Titus, ran a 5K this past Saturday.  Titus finished in second place in the 13 – 19 age division.  First race so obviously a great job.  However, Pastor Roy finished in first place in the 35-39 division.  His first race too.  Is that awesome or what?  Let me list all of the runners in the 35 – 39 division:  Roy Crouch.  I know his wife, Rachel, is so proud!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
