“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Good day in our services yesterday topped by the addition of Lacey Ladnier to the Friendship family in last night’s service.

The visitation with the Lillian Brinkman family will take place from 5:00 – 9:00PM tonight in our auditorium.  The celebration of life service takes place tomorrow at 11:00AM.  Please note that there will be no visitation tomorrow morning only the service.  Memorial donations should go to the Mission of Hope.  Pray for the Brinkman family.

Wanda Jordan made some improvement throughout the day yesterday.  She is still critical but there have been some positive signs.  Keep praying!

Infant Nash Lynch has been seizure free since Friday afternoon – praise the Lord!  Pray that he will continue to do well.

Sonny Bates will receive his fourth radiation treatment today.  Pray for all to continue to go well.

Join me in praying for the person who stopped by my house last Thursday asking for prayer.  Miracle needed.

Bobby and the boys are readying to host the NL Wild Card game against the Brewers tomorrow night.  Let’s go Nationals!

I do not watch the NFL.  Did the Saints beat the Cowboys last night?  Just curious!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

SUNDAY, 9/29/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.

The arrangements for Miss Lillian were posted in a separate post last night.  Please note that the family requests gifts given in memory of Miss Lillian be given to the Mission of Hope.

Wanda Jordan is in critical condition in the hospital.  She needs our prayer support in a big way.

Keep praying for infant Nash Lynch.

The Nationals have won seven in a row and are in a good place as they will host the NL Wild Card game on Tuesday night, 10/1, and will have Max on the mound.  Way to go Bobby and the boys!

I pray that you will have a great Sunday with Jesus.

SATURDAY, 9/28/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

It is with a sad heart that I write this morning that Miss Lillian Brinkman passed from this earthly life around 2:00AM this morning.  It is with a happy heart that I write this morning that Miss Lillian is now at home with Jesus.  She will be deeply missed by her family, church family, friends and countless others.  Pray for the family.  They are in hopes of a Monday night visitation and a Tuesday celebration of life service.  Arrangements will be made today.  Everything will take place at Friendship.  It may be tomorrow before I am able to post the arrangements once they have been completed.

Peggy Knighten sent me a message yesterday afternoon to say that infant Nash suffered two more seizures.  Please pray for Nash, his parents/family and the doctors.

I do not have an update on Wanda Jordan but do know we need to keep praying.

I have spent a great deal of time praying for the person who stopped by the house on Thursday afternoon.  Folks, a miracle is needed so please pray fervently.

I have a nice visit with my parents yesterday afternoon and followed that up with a nice visit with my Uncle Herschel.  Uncle Herschel is an amazing man.

Faith Academy, UMS, & Resurrection won their respective games last night.  Bryant & Mobile Christian came up a little short in their respective games.

Bobby and the boys need to win one or have the Brewers lose one in order for the Nationals to host the NL Wild Card game on Tuesday night.  The Indians got eliminated from the AL Wild Card race last night as they lost to the Nationals.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 9/27/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

I will “sometimes” post things in these entries that “may not” be totally true if you did not know that already.  However, this is something that is of utmost importance and very serious as I call each of you to prayer.  I was mowing late yesterday afternoon when someone pulled up and began walking toward me.  That person had a very, very serious prayer request and came to ask me to pray with them.  Their words were, “Bro. Teddy, I need a miracle!”  They asked that their identity and request be kept confidential for right now but did ask me to call folks to prayer as God knows the need.  Basically, the medical folks have given them a very short period to time to live and if you knew the situation you would say “there is no way that can be true.”  We prayed together.  It broke my heart and I spent the next couple of hours praying as I mowed.  Would you stop right now and just pray for a miracle?  Please.

The surgery on Bro. Jerry & Tena’s granddaughter went well.  Praise the Lord!

If everything went as planned, Ella Bosarge was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  When I visited she was eager to get out of that place.  Very grateful for the Lord’s touch on her body.  Keep praying for a complete recovery.

Infant Nash Lynch was much improved as of yesterday morning.  When I stopped by around 10:00AM or so, he had not had a seizure since 3:30PM the day before which was obviously great.  Keep praying for Nash, his parents and family and the medical folks charged with his care.

My visit with Wanda Jordan was very brief as she was a very sick lady.  Wanda needs our fervent prayers.

Stopped by to see Lillian Brinkman yesterday afternoon and she was not having a good day.  Miss Lillian is such a sweetheart but she simply did not feel good at all yesterday.  Pray for Miss Lillian!

Sonny Bates has begun his series of radiation treatments.  Pray for Sonny and pray these treatments have the desired effect.

Wednesday night following our service a mother came to me to tell of her child’s being recognized at the Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama’s annual luncheon earlier that day.  Great honor.  One of twelve high school students in the entire area to receive this reward.  She then proceeded to tell me that her child met “Teddy Bradshaw.”  I said “great” even though I had no clue who this Teddy Bradshaw person was.  Well, I read the story on al.com yesterday morning about Terry Bradshaw being in Mobile to speak at said luncheon.  I have copied and pasted a small part of that article:

“At the luncheon, the Salvation Army presented this year’s Henry and Jill Toomer Doing the Most Good Award to 12 high school students.

The winners included Connor Howard of Blount, Aaron Gilliland of Alma Bryant, Baryle Davenport of Chickasaw, Matthew Nicholas of Cottage Hill Christian, Zane Hall of Faith, Riddic Barnes of McGill-Toolen, Mackenzie Busby of Mobile Christian, Brayden Moore of Spanish Fort, Grant Murray of St. Michael, Landon Rawlins of St. Paul’s, Jack McAnnally of UMS-Wright and Jamarcus Grayson of Williamson.”

I am not going to throw this mother under the proverbial bus for saying “Teddy Bradshaw” but I do congratulate her child on receiving this reward.

Bryant, Faith Academy, and UMS (Mobile Chrisitian) all host games tonight.  Resurrection travels to Hattiesburg.  Theodore has the night off.  Best of luck to each of these teams.

Not a ton of drama left in the MLB’s final weekend of regular season play.  I think Pastor Jack Bailey’s Indians are toast but stranger things have happened.  Can the Brewers overtake the Cardinals or the Nationals?  That is the only real drama this weekend.  I hope Bobby and the boys win out!

Lisa is in Birmingham.  I got my assigned chores done yesterday afternoon and last night (only slept one hour as the list was pretty exhaustive) so I get to drive up today to meet her and then attend the Bama game tomorrow afternoon.  Here is the deal – when we return home tomorrow night she is going to complain that I did not properly make the bed.  However, what she will not know is that I did not sleep in the bed last night so it will actually be her criticizing her own work – I cannot wait!  (Some of you may want to read my very first sentence in this post again – just saying!)

Lord willing, I will visit my parents and an Uncle this afternoon.  My uncle is on hospice.  He and my aunt are the reason I am an Alabama football fan so you know he has to be a great guy.

This entry has been way too long.  I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 9/26/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Bro. Jerry & Tena’s granddaughter, Faith, will have an outpatient surgical procedure this morning.  Pray that all goes well.

Bro. Abel visited the hospitals yesterday.  Ella Bosarge was celebrating her fifth birthday.  The proverbial jury is still out on her situation as far as what happens next.  Just keep praying for her.

Infant Nash Lynch is some better but still needs our prayers as the doctors try to ascertain the exact cause of his seizures.  Keep praying.

Wanda Jordan was not fully alert during Bro. Abel’s visit so just keep praying for her.  She has been through a lot in recent days.

The Friendship family will host a service at the Mission of Hope tomorrow night (Friday) beginning at 7:00PM.  Joseph Meredith will be bringing the message and his wife, Evie, will be singing.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Pray for the service.

Will it be Nationals hosting the Brewers or vice versa?  Or, will the Brewers overtake the Cardinals and win the NL Central thus making it the Nationals versus the Cardinals in the NL Wild Card game?

The weather forecasters are still calling for us to stay in the nineties until at least Saturday week.  I am thankful for the lower humidity.

Lisa and Daphne are leaving today to attend a women’s conference in Birmingham.  Lisa has left me a list of things she wants done while she is gone.  It never ends!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 9/25/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

I was wrong yesterday morning in writing that Stan & Becky’s newest grandson was still in the hospital as he had been discharged.  I learned that after I have posted and thought Kayla Hatcher was going to write a corrected entry but she never did.  You simply cannot find good help these days.  Glad Stanley Santiago is home and doing well!

Junior & Anna Carol’s granddaughter, Ella, was doing some better yesterday morning.  She still needs our prayer support as she remains in the hospital.

JoNell Barnes has a great grandson who is less than two weeks ago and he is in the hospital battling seizures.  Pray for him, his parents and the medical personnel.

Miss Gloria Whitmore has been having some issues with her walking along with other issues.  Pray for her as she is seeing doctors this week to try and get some answers.

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.

It is “See You At The Pole” day this morning.  Bro. Abel and James Mareno are doing the one at GBMS and I have been asked to do the one at Castlen Elementary.  Pray those go well.

Lisa arrived home last night landing in Mobile at 11:30PM.  It is certainly good to have her home even if she did make me mop and vacuum at midnight upon her inspection.  It did not look “that” bad to me and why was she so flustered because the bed was not made?  Women!  (But I am glad she is home!)

Bobby and the boys won both games of a double header yesterday and then with the Cubs loss last night the Nationals clinched a Wild Card playoff spot.  Pretty amazing considering they were 19 – 31 at one point in the season.  The only drama now is whether they will host the WC game or have to travel.  Congratulations to Bobby & the boys!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 9/24/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Junior & Anna Carol Bosarge’s granddaughter, Ella, age 4, underwent basically an emergency surgery yesterday morning.  She did well through the surgery but will remain in the hospital for several more days.  Pray for a complete healing.

Stan & Becky Hatcher’s newest grandchild, Stanley Santiago, remains hospitalized.  He just needs to gain some weight and he should be ok.  Pray for Bethany and the baby.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

TJ & Lindsey Vice, with an assist from Bro. Abel, are leading this year’s “Trail of Truth & Treats” that will take place on Saturday, November 2.  Contact either TJ or Lindsey for more details but know that we are going to need “all hands on deck” for this ministry opportunity.  It is something we have never done before and I believe it is going to be great.

Bobby and the boys won last night and are now three games away from clinching a spot in the NL Wild Card game that will be played on Tuesday, October 1.  It appears it will be the Nationals and Brewers in that game with the only question being which team will be the host?

The college football weekend looks to be ho hum as far as the schedule is concerned.  The best game of the weekend may be the Penn State versus Maryland game on Friday night.  Time will tell.

The weather folks are forecasting highs in the low nineties for the Gulf Coast all the way into early October.  The humidity is forecast to be in the sixties which definitely helps.  I just walked outside (3:45AM) and the sixty eight degrees feels great!

Lord willing, Lisa will arrive home very late tonight.  Guess I need to clean up around this place or she will blow a gasket.  Anyone have a bulldozer and dump truck I can use today?  LOL!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 9/23/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Good day in our services yesterday.  We thank the Lord for His continued blessings.

The meeting hosted by Lindsey Vice and Bro. Abel went well.  It seemed that our AWANA ministry had another good night.

Miss Lillian was not able to attend our services yesterday.  Please continue to pray for her.

Do not look now but the Brewers have caught Bobby & the boys for the Wild Card lead.  It is most likely now down to those two teams for the Wild Card and this last week of the regular season will determine which team gets to host that Wild Card game.  Come on Nationals!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

SUNDAY, 9/22/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Happy fifth birthday to our granddaughter, Audrey Clark Taylor.  She is “Queen Bee” in Guatemala and living the life!  Lisa is there with her today to celebrate her special day.  I hope she has a wonderful birthday!

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.

AWANA ministry at 5:00PM.

Lindsey Vice & Bro. Abel will host a meeting in the auditorium at 5:00PM for those interested in our Hallelujah Festival.  Major changes coming across the board.

Big win by the Auburn Tigers yesterday.  Bobby and the boys are closing in on securing that Wild Card spot.

I pray that you will have a great Sunday with Jesus.
