FRIDAY, 10/28/11

Did you hear it late last night?  That scream?  That was Miss June Bailey in Rocky Ford, Alabama as David Freese hit the walk off homer for the Cards to defeat the Rangers in Game 6 of the World Series.  Pastor Jack is recovering from surgery and she probably forgot to give him his meds last night in her excitement!  (That groan that you heard simultaneously came from the Fort Worth area and was Wes Bates)  I watched a few pitches earlier in the game but read today that it is an instant classic.  Game 7 is tonight.  I do not have a dog in the fight so the outcome matters not to me.

Mission of Hope tonight for the Friendship family.  Bro. Kenny Lingle leads this ministry for us and Bro. Carl Ray Moulds will be sharing the Word tonight.  The bus leaves the church at 6:15PM and the service begins at 7:00PM.  You are invited to be a part of this service.

A major work day tomorrow for us beginning with breakfast at 7:30AM.  The work will begin around 8:00AM.  Again, we need to work the flower beds, mow/clear some of the back property, power wash the sidewalks, et cetera.  We will finish by noon.  I pray that we will have a good participation.

Another facet of tomorrow’s work day will be getting ready for Monday night’s Hallelujah Festival.  This will include decorating the CAB.  Again, workers are needed tomorrow and Monday night for this ministry opportunity.  Need more info?  Contact Bro. Benny McGath or Miss Vera Bosarge.

We are on a regular schedule for this Sunday with the morning services, Sunday School and evening activities.  I pray that many members of the Friendship family will join us.

It was good to see the “U” get beat last night in college football.

Gotta go work in the yard.  I am so ready for a good frost!  I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus!

    Hi Pastor,
We came out to Callie’s. As soon as I got off work on Friday. Gage is weaker has a hard time saying anything above a whisper and sometimes just can’t make a sound. Callie is with him every minute pretty much. We all try to do everything else so she can be free to care for him. The peace and grace of Gos is here. As much as my heart hurts there is joy there too. I was with her when he arrived and every moment I have is a blessing. We do so appreciate the prayers for us and for Gage. We love you all.
