For the first time, President Obama has publicly called for Pastor Saeed’s release.
Today, at the National Prayer Breakfast President Obama asked for prayer and urged Iran to free American Pastor Saeed.
It’s a monumental step for Pastor Saeed.
He said, “We pray for Pastor Saeed Abedini. . . . And as we continue to work for his freedom today, again, we call on the Iranian government to release Pastor Abedini so he can return to the loving arms of his wife and children in Idaho.”
We are grateful for President Obama’s strong statement, and – thanks to you – we’re building on the momentum for clemency, for freedom, for Pastor Saeed.
President Obama has heard your voice. Let’s make sure Iran hears you as well.
