Monday Update 6/29

Good morning,

It was great to get back with our students on Wednesday night and this past Sunday morning for Sunday school.  This upcoming Sunday we will not have Sunday school or any evening services.  There will solely be a 10:30am service, so make sure you note that and attend if you are in town.

Apologies for having to cancel the river day.  Weather has been crazy and if the river is not down it is not good to take the students.  I may take some students on Thursday, July 2 if the river is ok.  I will call Charles Persons on Wednesday to see what the conditions are like.  No signup needed for this trip and more information on Wednesday night will be given.

We have received a lot of positive response from the groups with Youth Works about our service on Wednesday night.  I want to thank all those that were a part of getting things in order the two weeks that I was away, and for the next two Wednesdays I’ll be away in the upcoming weeks (July 8 – Wild Week 2, July 22 – GO Camp).

On the subject of Youth Works, they have requested that if we know anyone that is in need of painting, yard work, or other light missional type projects their groups could be a part of please let me know.  I have a form that can be filled out and I can give it to the leaders to be put on the list.

We are also 5 weeks away from our last Wednesday night of the church year.  This year we are pushing forward with the students that will be outside the age range of The Foundation Youth Ministry.  Bro. Teddie leads the college/career Wednesday night group at his home behind Skateland and wants all those that will be college/career age this upcoming church year to attend.  It starts at 7:30p and I pray you will encourage those students to attend.  Free Food!

Upcoming is the greatest time to eat a Watermelon in my opinion.  They are selling like hotcakes in Grand Bay right now and we plan on gobbling some up this Wednesday night.  We will also have a Watermelon seed spitting contest after service.  Service starts at 6:30p and we will end a little early to eat.

GO Camp Meeting and Forms – Sunday, July 12

On Sunday, July 12 after the evening service we will have a GO Camp meeting in the youth building.  We will give out forms on what to bring as well as answer any questions that are asked.  This is not a required meeting for students/parents to attend, but is open for any that need more info or need the forms.  All forms can be found online at foundationflow.com and then click on Camp.

GO Camp – July 20-24
