Good morning,
After one year of my 30’s I have decided I would like to go back to my 20’s. The responsibilities of managing my food intake is vastly overrated to when I could eat everything and anything and not increase in weight.
Hopefully you received an email with the GO Camp wrap-up I sent last week
Thank you to those that prepared a meal and helped with the Sunday Morning Breakfast on 7/13. The students really enjoyed it and were very appreciative to all those who brought breakfast even if they didn’t say so by the looks of what food we had left over.
Summer is wrapping up quickly and below are some things to keep in mind
In 140 characters or less:
– Public School starts on August 7th
– Saturday Night Celebration service at 6:00p every Saturday

Sunday School Teachers
A big thanks goes out to all the youth Sunday School teachers that agreed to teach again this upcoming year. If you have not heard we added a new set of teachers to the 10th grade Co-ed: Jack and Kerri Lastorka. I am very glad they have accepted the call to lead that class and think they will do a great job.
I do want to note this to anyone that is still interested in being a part of leading a Sunday School class. We have some teachers that are open to someone taking over their class if that someone felt led to lead those specific students. Please contact me anytime if God is leading you in that direction.
Danville Mission Trip Weekend – August 8-10
On Thursday I sent out a text alert to the FYM group on this last minute mission trip to Danville, AL to help with their annual Block Party. Each year they have thousands (yes thousands) of people that come to their block party and they are able to minister to them through various means. They always need help and I am taking a group of 14 students in a Van to help them.
Currently I have 6 spots confirmed. There are only 8 spots left and the cutoff date for signup is Wednesday night. If you think your child/student is interested in attending please confirm with me by contacting me by Wednesday, July 30th.
(Important) If you have a middle school student that would like to attend the only requirement is that a guardian attend with them. No middle school students will be able to attend without a guardian present.
Back to Normal – August 6th
This upcoming week we will have our last crew of students from Youth Works join us. It may seem like a bit of a ghost town when they leave as they bring 60-70 each week, but they have thoroughly enjoyed it this summer and I have enjoyed having them.
We will transition back to normalcy on August 6th which is the first Wednesday night of the new church year. The Junior High students that will be going into the 6th grade – 8th grade will join in with Bro. Jim Chinners in the youth building for service. The Senior High students that will be going into the 9th grade – 12th grade will be with myself (Bro. Chris) in the Gym for service.
Wade Morris coming August 17-20 & Fellowship afterwards in Gym
I am really excited about Wade Morris coming to speak. Do a google search on him and you will see that (old school talk imminent) this dude ain’t no scrub.
We will have a fellowship after every evening in the Gym for an hour after service. Each night we will have some sort of food & drinks for students 6-12th grades.
GRACE Trip 2015 (Possible Dates: June 18-25)
Bro. Teddie has not posted the dates for the first trip but I plan on pushing our 9-12th grade students to attend the GRACE Trip during the week of June 18-25. It will probably cost around $1000 to attend and we will do some fundraising, but plan on saving now for that trip.
There will be a $100 deposit that is due by the end of August and if you do not get that in you will not have a spot as people are waiting in line to go to our mission house in Guatemala. (you’ve been warned)
Let me know if you have any questions and have a great week.
