Good morning everyone,
The extended weekend seemed to be great for our students. I didn’t get an exact total but I believe we have around 100 folks at the bowling alley with our church representing about 65 of those. It was great to see some students that have never been to our church come to the evening service.
A big thank you goes out to Carl Ray Moulds for driving the church bus with our students. The increased numbers allowed our Seniors to drive and for us to have a nice quiet bus ride with the Junior High students….

The Foundation App & Text Alerts
These are the best ways to keep up on things that are happening with the youth ministry. Some students ask me all the time what is going on and when I ask them if they have the app or get the texts they say they don’t. This is a shame because we have this service for FREE for them to stay updated (if they want to that is).

Answers Discipleship Training – Sundays @ 5p
Every Sunday evening starting at 5pm we will be discussing questions and answers that students deal with every day. This is a great time to learn how to defend what you believe in.
2015 GRACE Trip 1 Meeting – Sunday, September 7th after evening service
Dates are June 11-18 and will potentially cost around $1000. A $100 deposit is due by 9/30/14 (this is a very strict deadline). Please make sure to attend the evening service.
50/50 Goals
Starting this Wednesday night we will set some goals for both the Junior High and Senior High. 50/50 stands for each group getting 50 students in their respective Wednesday night Bible studies. Once the students reach that goal I will plan a Lock-In in the CAB for them to have.
Feeding the Football Team(s)
Plan is to feed Alma Bryant’s Varsity Football team on Thursday, 9/18 and Friday 9/19 for their game verses Florence, and Thursday, 10/16 and Friday, 10/17 for their homecoming game verses MGM. If you would like to help cook on either of the days please let me know. I’ll be sending out details on what we will be serving next Monday.
We would also like to feed the Grand Bay Middle School football team but have not confirmed a date to do so yet.
Believe Me Movie Night
On Friday, September 26th the movie Believe Me will be releasing (http://believemefilm.com/). It will not be in theaters and we will not be able to afford to do a public showing ($500) but they are releasing a digital copy on iTunes on that Friday. Plan is to get a couple of homes that would be willing to show it and I will come and help setup the showing through your TV. If you are willing to host a movie night on this Friday please let me know and we can discuss the details.
Praise in the Park – October 18th in Lucedale, MS
This is a great event at Lucedale City Park with some great Christian bands. Check it out at http://praiseinthepark.org/. I will not be taking a group this year as I have a wedding on that Saturday to perform.
