Good morning everyone, February is here and it is a joy to celebrate my 6th year with the Friendship Family. I wouldn’t have it any other way. RA Basketball is pretty much done for the 2014-2015 season and it was a good one. A lot of new players from a lot of different backgrounds joined the program this year. All in all we had about 30 guys that would participate fully on 3 different teams. A little different this year as over half of our guys attended other churches faithfully but did not have a basketball program or was of a different denomination. I’m thankful that basketball was the incentive to bring me to Friendship over 15 years ago as an 11th grader and is why I have such a passion for the RA program today. We have one more game with our older boys on Thursday, February 12 in Biloxi, MS vs. St. Patrick Catholic. It is their senior night and we are hoping to spoil it. We do have a backup plan if we don’t afterward to go eat Chinese Buffet. This year our focus has been to always have a backup plan. Good morning everyone, Apologies for not posting last week. After the MLK day games and revival I just decided to skip it until today. I do have some important things coming up, especially the Dinner & Show fundraiser on February 13th below. The meal fundraiser went really well. Jim & Glenda Chinners led the charge and I believe the students will be rewarded very well toward their Guatemala trips from the 170+ meals that were sold. Thank you to all that purchased a meal. Happy New Year everyone, I’m already starting out behind as I forgot that we have a basketball game in Biloxi tomorrow night with our Older and Younger Team. I’ll be contacting everyone this evening that plays and the information about it. School started today for our private school students and our public school students start tomorrow.
