Monday Morning Update 10/13

Good morning everyone,

Basketball starts today so my schedule is going to start getting tighter and tighter each week leading up to the season.  This year we had a really good number of students come out for the Younger and Older teams and plans are currently for me to coach both of them.

Below you will find some information about upcoming events and fundraisers.

In 140 characters or less:

– Homecoming week at Bryant High.  Game Friday vs MGM
– Feeding the Bryant Varsity Thursday and Friday.  If interested in helping let me know.
– Phillips vs Grand Bay at Grand Bay at 4pm
– 50/50 Goals for Lock-In continues
– Calendar Fundraiser will start on October 26th
– Basketball Practice starts today.  3-5p for Older, 7-9p for Younger
– Hallelujah Festival and Seward Farms Trip on October 31st
– Saturday Celebration Church service at 6pm in CAB (Alan Aldridge will be preaching)

FUNDRAISER: 2015 Calendars

If you are interested in selling Calendars to raise funds for Youth Camp or Guatemala please pickup a Fundraiser packet and a set of calendars on Sunday, October 26th.  All information will be in the packet and students will make $3/per calendar sold to go toward youth camp or Guatemala.
Wednesday Movies – Transformers: Age of Extinction on Wednesday, Oct. 15th @ 4:00p
Students are welcome to come to the Gym before 4:00pm on Wednesdays to hang out and then watch the movie.  Movie will start at 4:00p.  Thanks to VidAngel these movies do not have profanity.

RA Basketball Practice Starts Today

Hallelujah Festival and Seward Farms – Friday, October 31st
On Friday, October 31st we will have the annual Hallelujah Festival for children in the community in the CAB and after we will take the students that help with the festival to Seward Farms in Lucedale for their Haunted Maze.  Cost is $15 and transportation will be provided.

Winter Retreat – December 29-31 – $30/person
We are going to take a Winter Retreat to the woods in Lucedale, MS and get focused on the 2015 year with our students.  Cost is $30/person as the only thing we have to pay for is food and transportation.  Details forthcoming on schedule, what to bring, and how to signup.

Plans are to leave on Monday afternoon 12/29 and stay until Wednesday morning 12/31.  Adult leaders are invited to come. Here is the Google Map link to where it is located: goo.gl/UFx41w
