Good morning,
Last Wednesday morning the Chinners family and I fed the Grand Bay Middle School staff and were blessed to be a blessing to those great teachers. This not only blesses them but also helps keep the door open for us as we minister to the teachers and students in our community.
WOW! That one word describes the Danville Baptist BP (Block Party). There is a lot that went into it and way too much for me to describe, but we were definitely blessed by serving and our students had a great time this past weekend also.
Today marks the first day of the first full week of the 2014-2015 school year as well as the last day for Faith students’ summer.
We finally received our check from the E-Waste Fundraiser and I would have to say I was deeply disappointed. In total May Metals sent us a check for $974.51. $302 of that goes to advertisement in The Connection which leaves $672.51 that will be split between us and Lillie Orchard Baptist. The breakdown is as followed: Electronics – $174.51, Medical Equipment – $800. Though most of the value from the recycle fundraiser came from Lillie Orchard’s contacts we agreed to split the profits as we helped each other in various parts of the fundraiser.

Wade Morris coming August 17-20 & Fellowship afterwards in Gym
I am really excited about Wade Morris coming to speak. Do a google search on him and you will see that (old school talk imminent) this dude ain’t no scrub.
We will have a fellowship after every evening in the Gym for an hour after service. Each night we will have some sort of food & drinks for students 6-12th grades.
2015 GRACE Trip 1 Meeting – Sunday, September 7th after evening service
We will have a meeting about the 2015 GRACE Trip 1 after the evening service on Sunday, September 7th. Those that wish to attend must attend service to attend this meeting.
Potential dates for the trip are June 18-25 and will potentially cost around $1000.
There will be a $100 deposit that is due soon and if you do not get that turned in you will not have a spot as people are waiting in line to go to our mission house in Guatemala.
Potential Late-Night Bowling
I am talking to a couple of other churches in the area to see if they would be interested in going Late-Night bowling with us on Sunday, August 31 as students are off on Labor Day the next day. If we cannot get enough churches to go we will not be able to afford to rent out the bowling alley.
