Good morning,
Everything went great last week cooking for the Bryant football team on Thursday and Friday. We introduced them to Potato Pearls and I think about half the football team said they were the best mashed potatoes they have ever eaten. We also introduced some of them to Diane Vickers’ homemade banana pudding. I made sure to get a big helping of it and it was fabulous. Thanks to Logan, James, Trish, Diane, and Shaun for helping feed the boys this past week.
This week we have a couple things going on and you will find them below.

On Friday, September 26th the movie Believe Me will be releasing (http://believemefilm.com/). The Chinners and the Blackwells will be opening their homes for this movie release. I will be telling the students about it on Wednesday night. Transportation will not be provided so students will have to get rides to and from those two homes.
Wednesday Movies – Divergent on Wednesday, Oct. 1st @ 4:00p
Our Wednesday movie went well with mostly Junior High attending. We will be doing it again on October 1st showing Divergent and it’ll start at 4:00pm. These movies have no profanity thanks to the service of VidAngel.com.
RA Basketball Starts Soon
– Try-outs for the 7-9th graders on Tuesday, October 7 from 7-9pm.
– Try-outs for the 10-12th graders on Thursday, October 9 from 7-9pm.
Any students that fall into these categories may come. I am hoping to fill two teams this year (One Younger & One Older). I can have up to 15 on each team and I will fill them if there are students that are willing to attend church, attend practice, and commit themselves to the work the team needs.

Hallelujah Festival and Seward Farms – Friday, October 31st
On Friday, October 31st we will have the annual Hallelujah Festival for children in the community in the CAB and after we will take the students that help with the festival to Seward Farms in Lucedale for their Haunted Maze. Cost is $15 and transportation will be provided.
Winter Retreat
This is currently still in the prayer and planning process but I have secured a place to take a Winter retreat for a couple days nestled in the woods in Lucedale on the Pascagoula River. Plans would be to spend 3 days, 2 nights here and focus on Apologetics. This would also be a low cost trip as the only cost would be food. Potential dates are December 29-31 & January 1-3.

I believe we have a lot of opportunities for our students to grow in Christ and I hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities.
