Monday Update 10/19

Good morning,

Definitely a blessed day yesterday morning and evening. I am very honored to call Bro. Teddie my Pastor and boss and I pray for his continued service at Friendship Baptist Church. Hope Sunday seems to get better and better every year. I ask you to continue to pray fervently for Carla in her continued battle.

We didn’t attend Praise in the Park as we did not have anyone sign up.

There is a HUGE event taking place at the end of the month that we need a lot of volunteers for. The Hallelujah Festival takes place on the 31st from 5-7p. More below on details and what we are going to do afterwards.

Breakfast on Sunday Mornings
Make sure your students know about the breakfast in the 10th grade room every Sunday morning. There is cereal and other goodies that teachers bring. Don’t hesitate to randomly bring a pan of breakfast casserole or some doughnuts to add to the mix.

Cooking for Alma Bryant Band & Football Team – October 30th
We are planning to cook for the Alma Bryant Football Band and Football Team on October 30th before their last game of the year. If you can help out on this date I will need some help from 10am to 4pm. The meal will be Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, & Green Beans for the football team, and possibly the same for the Band.

Hallelujah Festival – October 31st from 5-7pm (Coden Haunted House)
We need students to come to and help run the Hallelujah Festival on October 31st from 5-7pm. Students need to be there at 4:00p to get their booth’s ready and help with anything else that needs setting up. We will be taking car loads to the Coden Haunted House afterwards at the Coastal Response Center. Cost is $11 or $10 with a canned good.

RA Basketball Update
We have begun to have practices but school basketball should have their picks in this week. We have a good number of players that are trying out for the Middle and High Schools so pray as we have to make some adjustments when that happens. Currently Dylan Westbrook and Zach Huhn are helping me out this year with both teams and I thank them for their continued support.

Have a great week and #PrayForCarla
