Good morning, Yesterday was a really good day of services, and it was a joy to share last night in the evening service. From the various reports the Valentine’s Dinner & Show went remarkably well. A big thanks goes to all those that were involved. I heard of some people saying it was one of the best steaks they have eaten in a while, it was melt in your mouth, etc, and that they thoroughly enjoyed the show. Good afternoon, Coming in a little late on this email as I went on some hospital visits early this morning. Alexus Blackwell was admitted early this morning to Springhill hospital but should come home today. Total purchased tickets for the Valentine’s Dinner & Show is at 96. Good morning everyone, February is here and it is a joy to celebrate my 6th year with the Friendship Family. I wouldn’t have it any other way. RA Basketball is pretty much done for the 2014-2015 season and it was a good one. A lot of new players from a lot of different backgrounds joined the program this year. All in all we had about 30 guys that would participate fully on 3 different teams. A little different this year as over half of our guys attended other churches faithfully but did not have a basketball program or was of a different denomination. I’m thankful that basketball was the incentive to bring me to Friendship over 15 years ago as an 11th grader and is why I have such a passion for the RA program today. We have one more game with our older boys on Thursday, February 12 in Biloxi, MS vs. St. Patrick Catholic. It is their senior night and we are hoping to spoil it. We do have a backup plan if we don’t afterward to go eat Chinese Buffet. This year our focus has been to always have a backup plan. Good morning all, Our Christmas party went exceptionally well I think. It was the first time in a while that we had Levi and the band play but I still do not think the students responded well to the musical worship, even though they were Christmas songs. The photo booth was a hit thanks to Jack and Kerri Lastorka’s props box and Tina Wilkinson’s backdrop. The photos are on The Foundation Facebook page (facebook.com/thefoundationym). Thanks to everyone who helped with the food also as the students really liked it. Three days until Christmas, are you ready??? Basketball season is done for the rest of the 2014 year and will pickup on Saturday, January 3rd. One of my prayers is that I would have the opportunity to fill the league coordinator position for Mobile area teams one day. All of our teams are currently winless, with the exception of one tournament game for the Older team. I keep telling myself I’ve been through this before. We rescheduled our youth committee meeting until next Monday in lieu of the service this evening and night for Caryn Suthoff.
