We are throwing the children at the Mobile Baptist Children’s home a field day party on Monday, April 11th.  This is mainly a time where our students can interact with their kids and bless them with some fun.  We will have Inflatables, Hot Dogs, and the pool may even be open.  There is no cost but students do need to sign-up for this event beginning on April.

Discipleship Weekend Review

Total of 20 participated in this weekend’s Connect ‘N Unite Discipleship Weekend.  Jonny Gaston and Ralph Rimmer did a fine job at speaking in our services and Kenny Cooper, Jim Chinners, and myself shared in devotionals throughout the weekend.  I have received a lot of good feedback from the students as well as adult helpers.  One student mentioned to me that Kenny Cooper really inspired him that he needs to do more for the Lord.

We watched God’s Not Dead and Woodlawn as our late night movies.  Great movies!  One of the more impressive parts of the weekend was how quickly 5 acres of pecan sticks can be picked up.  Thanks to Mr. Raymond for lining that one up and thank you for Linda Green for allowing us to help out.  Paintball was also on the agenda and the students really enjoyed a time to put small quarter size bruises on each other.  We even allowed the students to cook the meals for the weekend, and it was all editable.  Actually it was amazing!

Thank you to those who prayed, helped, and donated toward students participating this weekend.  Our hope is that these experiences will springboard an awakening in our students to connect together, unite as one, and spread the gospel amongst the darkness of our culture.

Pray for our church this week!
