2016 Calendar Fundraiser

Starting on Sunday, November 1st we will begin our annual Calendar Fundraiser. As always I try relay that this fundraiser, if WORKED, can be the best fundraiser of the year. Starting Sale: Students can start to get packets with 10 calendars on Sunday, November 1st during Sunday School and after the morning services (Limited Calendars). Once those 10 are sold then they can come back and pickup 10 more when they turn in their money for the 10. Ending Sale: Students will have to have all non-sold calendars turned in by Sunday, December 6th. If there are any leftover calendars after that date they will be sold to go into the Youth General Account. I am ordering 300 calendars to have on hand for this fundraiser. I pray we have to order...

About The Foundation

Our goal is for students involved in this ministry to have their foundation in Jesus Christ.  The scripture verse that corresponds with our goal is 1 Corinthians 3:11 states, “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”   For us to accomplish this goal it takes more than just planning events and giving students a safe comfortable place to hangout.  It takes a body of believers that will come together and pray as well as students that will forsake all things for the cause of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is for the students of The Foundation Youth Ministry to make an impact for Christ in every person they encounter through their conduct and communal efforts.  Thank you for entrusting us with helping to build their foundation in Christ and continue to pray for us as we strive to make a difference in our...

Good morning everyone, We are full swing into the month of October and we have a couple of events coming up this month to be aware of and to be promoting to our students. Be mindful that this Wednesday night is the last day to sign up for Praise in the Park.  If a form and $15 is not turned in by this Wednesday night then you will not be able to go with us (if there is an us).  Currently we have zero signups and if we do not have any signup by this Wednesday then I will be spending my Saturday doing honey-do’s. Monday Update 9/28

Good morning, A great Sunday of worship services capped off a great weekend of ministry.  A big BIG thanks goes to Dustin Graham, Jude Snyder, & Micah Snyder for helping me move Ms. Sharon Jardee to her new home.  It was an all-day non-stop affair but we knocked it out and then treated the boys to a very late lunch at Arby’s. Tonight is the 10th grade and up RA Basketball Tryouts.  It is from 7-9pm. Our Sunday School numbers have been a bit low the last two weeks.  If you are a teacher please contact those students that you have been missing to touch base with them and let them know they are missed.  This hour is a core essential in connecting with our students in the small group setting. We are looking at another opportunity to serve in the month of October at the Bay Area Food Bank.  I will let you know more information when I discuss dates and availability with them. Monday Update 9/21

Good morning, This weekend’s Yard Sale at Ms. Sharon Jardee’s was great.  The three amigos: Dakota, Jacob, and Thomas, did a fine job of selling and helping out at the yard sale.  They plan on helping this weekend and I hope that other will come to help Ms. Sharon move this weekend also.  More details below. Grand Bay vs Alba this Thursday night @ The Eye at 6:00pm for Grand Bay’s Homecoming.  This is a first for the two schools and I think is a great idea to bring them together at Alma Bryant.  Grand Bay is 2-0 for the first time in 14 years so maybe they can continue their streak or my middle and high school Alma Mater can end it….who knows. Basketball ball tryouts begin this week.  The 9th grade and under team tryouts are tonight at 7pm.  10th grade and up tryouts are next Monday at 7pm and then in October we will begin practicing. Monday Update 9/14

Good morning, Foundation Website & App: Anytime you can look at foundationflow.com  and find these email posts as well as if you download the App for your smartphone you can keep up to date with upcoming events and read these emails there also.  Search “The Foundation Youth Ministry” in your App Store I am not sure about you, but I am sure loving this cool weather.  Though it is suppose to get back into the 90s by Friday, we get a little glimpse of the Fall weather approaching. With Fall comes basketball for us.  We are having an open gym this Tuesday night from 7-9pm and will have younger and older tryouts coming on the next two Mondays.  Please inform those that you know are interested to come.  I do plan on changing things up this year for practices to better fit some people’s schedule as well as a push to get students in church. This week we are feeding the Alma Bryant Football Team.  I plan on going and purchasing the food for Thursday and Friday tomorrow.  It is homecoming week for them so it is a great opportunity to minister to the team.  If you are willing to help and are off on those days let me know.  Continue to pray for me as I minister to the team through my chaplain duties as it can be tough when a team struggles. Big shoutout Coach Eric Collier and the Theodore Bobcats as they continue their undefeated run.  They have a big game coming up this week against Murphy so pray for Eric’s sanity. Yard Sale this Saturday at Ms. Sharon...

Tuesday Update 9/8

Good morning, We are back to the grind after a long weekend.  Hopefully everyone is moving and grooving this morning.  A big thanks to Bro. Kenny Lingle for driving the bus for late-night bowling.  We brought 45 students and a good big of college to late-night bowling joined with 20+ from FBCBLB and 20+ from FBC Pascagoula.  It was a really good time and the students enjoyed it thoroughly.
