Brenda Timberlake will have a heart cath today. Not sure what time but hopefully it will be this morning and she will get a good report. Pray for her!
Carla Kyser will be receiving another chemo treatment today. Pray that will go well for her.
Warren “Blo Joe” Guidry and Herbert Benefield both did well in their respective surgeries yesterday. Blo Joe came home while Herbert remains hospitalized. He “could” come home today. We thank God these men did well. (Of course, I am not surprised as men are such good patients anyway!) Pray for these men.
Mr. Byron Skelton passed away yesterday morning. The visitation with the family will take place at Serenity Funeral Home tomorrow from noon until the 2:00PM service time. Mr. Skelton is a brother of Belissia Bosarge, a father-in-law of Belinda Skelton, and an uncle of Julie Whitehurst. Pray for the Skelton family during this difficult time.
Today is the first day of September. Tomorrow I will be asking where did September go! Tonight begins the college football season. The USA Jags play UWA at home tonight. Hopefully, rain is on the way due to the depression presently in the Gulf. We could use it, IMO. Hurricane Katia could be bad news for the east coast. Hopefully, it will turn to the north and east instead of making landfall.
We will feature the ministry of Evangelist Dale Bosarge this Sunday evening at 6:00PM. A time of food and fellowship takes place beginning at 5:00PM. The church is providing the burgers, dogs, and drinks. You bring potato salad/chips and/or baked beans plus a dessert. We will receive a love offering for Dale & Karla’s ministry. Bring a friend or two and join us.
