THURSDAY, 3/28/24

Laura Morie’s father remains hospitalized.  He is now in a regular room but is still in very serious condition.  Keep praying.

Kevin Sprinkle shared in last night’s service that Brandon’s & Morgan’s baby, John, “may” have to have a surgical procedure.  I think this decision will be made tomorrow.  Pray for infant John and his parents.

Peggy Knighten continues to battle pain.  Pray for relief for Peggy.

Good day in our services yesterday.  Thank you, Jesus.

Major day this Saturday and then two morning services on Easter Sunday.  Pray.  Attend.  Expect.

Lisa is scheduled to fly home today arriving in Mobile perhaps during the Alabama basketball game.  If so, she will not mind waiting in the Mobile airport for thirty or forty minutes.  Builds character!

By the way, I had a date with another woman this past Monday night.  I just hope Lisa does not find out about it!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

Laura Morie’s father has been moved from CCU to a regular room.  Keep praying for him and the family.

Deidra and Delmy arrived safe and sound to GRACE Mountain yesterday afternoon.  All is well. Lisa will leave GRACE Mountain at some point today and then fly out tomorrow, 3/28.  Beginning tomorrow, the traffic in the city will be extremely heavy due to Easter week.

Joey, Bibbi and family did arrive home around 3:00AM yesterday.  Thank God for His watch care over them as they traveled.

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.

Buses running, Sunday School classes, preschool church, children’s church, egg hunt, et cetera this Saturday, 3/30.  Classes will begin at 9:00AM.  Our prayer is for many to take part in these activities.

TUESDAY, 3/26/24

This entry is way late – duh!  What happened?  I have a red truck!  Just saying!

Bro. Abel visited with Morgan yesterday.  As far as I know, all is well.  Keep praying for Morgan, the baby and Brandon.

I visited with Laura Morie’s father yesterday morning.  He is non-responsive so I prayed for him there in his CCU room.  Keep praying!

Deidra and Delmy left this morning heading home to Guatemala.  It has been a blessing having them here for a few days.  Pray for traveling mercies on their behalf today.  Lisa will come home Thursday.

Joey, Bibbi and family arrived home early this morning. (As far as I know)  Again, I am thankful for their help in Guatemala for the past two weeks plus.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow.

The bridge’s collapse in Baltimore was awful.  Pray for those involved.

I am fairly certain that MoJo’s Pizza is now open daily.  The number is 251 259 2902.  Good pizza!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

WELCOME TO THIS WORLD JOHN BARRETT MCDONALD

John Barrett McDonald arrived last night at around 11 last night. 7lb 15oz . 20.5 inches.  Thank you to grandmother, Tina Sprinkle, for letting me know of John’s arrival.  Congratulations to Brandon & Morgan and the rest of the family.  Thank God for a safe delivery and a healthy baby.

MONDAY, 3/25/24

I received this comment via email last night – “Incredible weekend!”  I do not disagree as the Lord has proven again and again His goodness to the Friendship family.  Glory to God!

A very special “thank you” to Miss Jeanette Bates and the adult choir for ministering in the evening service.  The attendance was good, not great, but I do appreciate those who were in attendance.  Again, glory to God!

Brandon and Morgan McDonald will welcome a baby into this world at some point today.  Pray that the delivery goes well.

Laura Morie’s father is in CCU in a local hospital and is not doing well.  Please join me in praying for him.

Continue to pray for Shawn Grant as she remains in a physical rehab facility.

Joey, Bibbi and family are set to leave Guatemala later today heading home.  They have done a good job of ministering on GRACE Mountain for the past two plus weeks.  I had to send Ian Tagert down this past Thursday to make sure they finished well but otherwise they are to be commended.  I do know that Hadley’s soccer team is eagerly waiting for her return.  Pray for traveling mercies for them today.

Speaking of traveling, Deidra and Delmy are set to return to Guatemala tomorrow morning.  It has been a blessing to have them here for a few days.  Many thanks to those from Friendship who attended the ceremony honoring Soy last Thursday evening.  What a nice surprise.

Lisa is scheduled to return home Thursday night.  The Alabama basketball team is set to tip off shortly after 9:00PM so I am not sure how Lisa will get home from the airport?  It will not hurt her to wait an hour or so!

Clay, Colby, Peyton & Seth join the church one Sunday and then miss the following Sunday – what is up with that!

Regular schedule on our campus this Wednesday.

Big weekend coming up!  Pray and plan to be present!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 3/20/24

Stacey & Gayla (I think) will be at the church early this morning cooking breakfast for our senior adults.  Breakfast will be served in the Preschool Building beginning at 9:00AM.  We will then sit around the tables and have our Bible study from the book of II Timothy.  We will be back in chapter three today.

Our evening schedule will be normal with Bible study, RA’s, GA’s, and youth all beginning at 6:30PM.  Praying for a strong attendance.

Miss Shawn Grant remains in a rehab center.  She is in good spirits as she has a strong faith in God.  Keep praying for Shawn.

I have an unspoken prayer request for someone who has been admitted to the hospital.  Not at liberty to share more at this time but do ask that you pray for them.  God knows.

Our Ladies Helping Hands will meet tomorrow night, 3/21, beginning at 6:00PM in the Preschool Building.  All ladies are cordially invited to attend this meeting.

Also, tomorrow night, 3/21, Soy Taylor will be inducted into the Morgan County Alabama Leadership Hall of Fame.  Obviously, this is being done posthumously.  It is a long story but it is pretty amazing for this to be taking place.  Lord willing, I will be driving up with Daphne early tomorrow and returning home on Friday.  Deidra will be flying into Huntsville, AL late tonight.  (Lisa is in Guatemala with the girls so Deidra can be in Alabama for this award).  I will get the opportunity to visit with Mama during this quick trip.  I am blessed.

Soccer this Saturday, 3/23, beginning at 8:00AM.  The forecast calls for rain on Friday but not Saturday.  I hope they are correct. By the way, there will be no soccer on Saturday, 3/30, due to Easter weekend.

Speaking of Easter, our schedule will be two worship services on Easter Sunday – 8:30AM & 10:00AM.  Nothing else that day.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 3/19/24

Peggy’s surgery went well.  Praise the Lord!

Lisa Brinkman continues to recover at home.  Keep praying!

Breakfast at 9:00AM tomorrow for our senior adults and any others who want to join us and stay for the 10:00AM service.  Breakfast and Bible study in the Preschool Building.  Stacey Dyess is the master chef and it will be good!  The guy can cook!

Otherwise, regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

Lisa flew out this morning heading to Guatemala.  She will be there for ten days.  I am glad that she is able to be away in order to help Deidra and the girls.

Joey, Bibbi & family are doing well in Guatemala.  I think it has been an eye opener for them in some ways.  Again, I appreciate their willingness to serve in this capacity.  The Compagners, the Deckers and the Bosarges have all been a blessing!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 3/18/24

Lisa Brinkman had surgery this past Friday and did well.  She was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Pray for Lisa and Eddie.

Peggy Knighten is having surgery on one of her knees today.  Pray that all goes well.

The visitation with the Desiree Sessions Hovel family takes place tonight at First Baptist Grand Bay from 5:00 – 8:00PM.  The service will take place tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1:00PM also from First Baptist Church.  Pray for Desiree’s family.

The Lord certainly blessed us with a good day in our services yesterday.  We had ten folks unite with the Friendship family during our morning service.  What a blessing!  God gives the increase and we give Him all of the glory.  (My apologies to Seth!)

Our evening service went well too.  DeDe & Ian Tagert did a great job of leading our children’s choir as they led us in worship.  Bro. Abel did a really good job of sharing the Word with us using the I Am A Church Member book as the springboard.

The yard sale went well.  Thank you to each person who helped in any way.

Stacey Dyess will be cooking breakfast for our senior adults this Wednesday morning.  Breakfast will be served beginning at 9:00AM in the Preschool Building.  Eggs, meat, biscuits and tomato gravy will highlight the meal.  Our Bible study will take place in that same setting once the meal has been completed.  Senior adults, come join us for this special time.

Our first Saturday of soccer went well.  Amazing crowd numerically.  Pray for this ministry!

I was blessed to meet with Pastor/Missionary Mark Mast last Thursday for breakfast and fellowship.  Pastor Mark does an amazing job in reaching folks and making disciples.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 3/14/24

The yard sale begins at 8:00AM today and will conclude at 4:00PM.  Same schedule tomorrow.  Saturday will begin at 8:00AM and conclude at noon.  The silent auction will conclude at noon on Saturday.  Thank you to those who have helped and will help with this ministry opportunity.  Pray that all goes well.

Good day in our services yesterday.  Thank you, Jesus!

I have the privilege of meeting with Missionary Mark Mast this morning.  Looking forward to seeing Mark.  He encourages folks to visit his FB site to see pictures and read stories of his recent mission trip to India.  Good stuff!

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday, 3/17.  Our children’s choir will sing in our evening service.  Bro. Abel will be preaching a message from the Bible based on the “I Am A Church Member” book – unity.  Pray and attend!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 3/13/24

Good Wednesday morning from blog central!  Regular schedule on our campus this morning and tonight.  I pray that many members of the Friendship family will be present for those services, classes, et cetera.

The yard sale will be open immediately following each service today for those who attend the respective service.  Open to everyone else beginning at 8:00AM.  There is a silent auction that will culminate on Saturday morning.

I have a confession.  This makes two in less than a week.  I walked over to the CAB yesterday and was the first customer of the 2024 yard sale.  This is big for me as I do not do yard sales – at all!  So why did I do it?  They had something that I felt could possibly be used in Guatemala and Deidra concurred.  So, she now has some Christmas gifts for some of the children in Colegio JET.  (Clara and crew do not know that I know that Sammy Bowden was actually their first customer as he bought something on Monday)

Speaking of Guatemala, Joey, Bibbi & family are doing well there.  Seeing things from a totally different perspective.  Deidra and the girls are enjoying the Bosarge family being on the mountain.  I so appreciate them being there to help Deidra.

Weekend before last, John Milton plowed my garden spot.  Going to have a garden, Lord willing, but on a different scale.  I appreciate John Milton and his tremendous generosity to my family and me.

Scott Fontenot probably needs to go back to work because in his retirement Clara (yard sale) and Daphne (soccer concessions) are not giving him a break.  He is working sixteen hour days!  LOL!

Gary DenBleyker has graciously allowed us to use his Honda generator for the past two nights for the soccer concession stand.  What a huge blessing!  Thank you, Gary.

Grant Tillman is allowing us to use his trailer to “be” the concession stand.  How nice is that! Katie hit me up last night for some possible “rent” money but I am just going to deal with Grant.  Remember, Katie is Diane’s daughter!  Just saying!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.
