THURSDAY, 6/6/19

Happy birthday to our oldest daughter, Deidra!  How old?  Correct!  As you know, she is serving as a missionary in Guatemala.  We miss her not being here but are very thankful that she is following God’s will for her life.  I hope her day is awesome!

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Larry Crawley leaves this morning heading to Africa in order to do a month of mission work.  Pray for Larry and those who will be with him on this trip.  Thank you to the Friendship family for giving financially to help with this trip.  Looking forward to hearing from Larry when he returns in July.

Big day for our VBS.  Dale Bosarge will be sharing the Gospel with our elementary age students.  Pray!

Miss Lillian Brinkman was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Lisa and I went to the hospital after lunch and did not take them at their word.  I went to the room where Miss Lillian had been and searched under the bed, the closet, the bathroom, et cetera – LOL!  Pray for Miss Lillian as she regains her strength.  Miss Lillian is a remarkable lady!

Our good friends Decker & Martha Terry in Montgomery are having some health issues right now.  Martha has been admitted to a local hospital with breathing issues.  Decker is unable to be with her because of some issues his own.  This is a delightful couple.  Would you pray for them?

Did not having a service last night mess you up as bad as it has me?  I am off schedule wise in my mind!  However, it did give me a chance to plow in my garden and then work on making part of it a Santa Claus garden.  Loved the rain yesterday and looking forward to more over the next few days.

Levi Seymour tried to tell me to not count the Raptors out and look what they did last night!  That is why Levi is the professional and I am not!

Do not look now but Bobby & the boys have won four in a row!  They are hanging around in the NL East.

Need to try and beat the rains this morning by getting some things done in the garden.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 6/5/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Well, I blew that one!  I said yesterday that the Friendship family was hospital free.  Not so fast my friend!  Miss Lillian Brinkman has been in the hospital since last Thursday.  I visited her Thursday and Friday.  I was totally unaware she was still a patient until notified by deacon Carl Ray Moulds this morning.  Thank you Carl Ray.  Who is to blame?  It does not matter.  Miss Lillian is such a gracious lady and I enjoyed a nice visit with her yesterday morning.  I plan on visiting her again this afternoon.  Pray for her healing.

Talked to Bernard Suthoff yesterday afternoon about his son, Eddie, in Idaho.  He is home.  Rusty & Anna are there with him.  Bernard & Pattie will be going soon.  Keep praying for Eddie.

I had the privilege of going to the McKemie Place last night.  Randall did a nice job of leading that ministry.  I want to say thank you to Paige Broome, Heidi & Lauren Butler, Amy Huhn & Elizabeth Westbrook for joining Randall in ministering.  They all did great.  As a matter of fact, it was Amy Huhn’s seventy first birthday and she choose to spend it ministering to those ladies.  How sweet is that!

Our VBS attendance was one hundred eighty six yesterday.  If we do not hit two hundred today then we probably will not reach that mark this year.  Pray for our VBS.

No services or classes on our campus this morning or evening.  Pass the word!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 6/4/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Day one of our VBS went well.  We had one hundred and seventy four in attendance.  I would love to see higher numbers but I am not one of the workers so I may be in a boat by myself.  I am very thankful to those who are serving in any capacity in our VBS.

The Friendship family remains hospital free and that is a good thing.

Matt Everett’s father remains in the hospital so keep praying.

Raymond Wilkinson had some outpatient surgery early yesterday morning and he did well.  He came by the church office afterwards.

McKemie Place tonight beginning at 6:00PM.  Everyone invited.  Questions/information?  Contact Randall Broome.

Remember, no regular services or classes tomorrow morning or evening.

It is true that the Jeopardy champion went down in defeat on yesterday’s show.  Folks, if the internet says it then it is true.

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 6/3/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

The Lord blessed us with a good day in our services yesterday.  We give Him the glory.

Thank you for giving to support Larry Crawley and his mission trip to Africa.  He did a very nice job of sharing in our service last night.

VBS begins this morning at 9:00AM.  Pray!

Spoiler alert?  Rumor on the internet mill is that the Jeopardy champion gets beat in today’s show.  A one minute video clip shows the end of the game.  Regardless, the dude is sharp!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

SUNDAY, 6/2/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

Want to hear some good news that basically rivals the ice machine working?  There is now a new set of front doors in the auditorium.  Jeff Holifield has dealt with this matter for many months.  He has been very patient and I believe very Christlike in dealing with potential installers, church members with questions, and an aggravating pastor.  I went up to the auditorium last night and the door works like a charm – hooray!  You will definitely notice a difference today!  Thank you, Jesus!  Thank you, Jeff.

Our children’s ministry will have some water fun following our 10:30AM service today.  Children need to come prepared clothes wise.  Just a FYI.

Special love offering today in all three services for Larry Crawley and his mission trip to Africa.  Pray and give as the Lord leads!

Regular schedule on our campus today minus Discipleship Training.  Deacons meet at 5:00PM.

I pray that you will have a great Sunday with Jesus.

SATURDAY, 6/1/19

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

This entry will be short and sweet.  Not much happening which is a good thing.

Miss Lillian Brinkman did well through her surgical procedure yesterday.  Her problem was caused by medicine.  Keep praying.

Matt Everett’s father remains in ICU.  Pray for him.

I want to remind the Friendship family of the special love (VBS) offering for Larry Crawley and his mission trip to Africa.  He leaves this Thursday, June 6.  We will receive an offering in all three of our services tomorrow.  Pray and then give as the Lord leads.

Our deacons meet tomorrow at 5:00PM.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow minus Discipleship Training.

Our VBS begins Monday morning at 9:00AM.  Pray for Myrtle, the workers and the children.

Got to go as Lisa is demanding I wash her vehicle before she heads to the Broome family reunion.  Hey, it could be worse – she could be making me attend the reunion!  LOL!

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus!
