SATURDAY, 7/16/22

“ONE MONTH, ONE CHURCH”  Corporate worship at 10:30AM & 6:00PM tomorrow.  Sunday School at 9:15AM.  VBS at 5:00PM.  Come join us!

Miss Vinnie Brewer’s son-in-law, Hugh Nelson, passed from this life early yesterday afternoon.  He underwent successful surgery yesterday morning and all seemed to be well.  In a spiritual sense, all is well with Hugh now as he is in the presence of Jesus.  Pray for his wife, Shirley, and the rest of the family as they walk through this valley.  Arrangements are pending.  Hugh & Shirley live in Tennessee.

The arrangements for Kendall Falana’s father, John, are as follows:  visitation with the family from 10:00AM until the noon service time on Monday, July 18.  The visitation and service will take place at Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore.  Pray for Mrs. Falana, Kendall and the rest of the family.

As always, keep praying for Myrtle Bowden.

Sonny Bates will travel to New Orleans this coming week to have another consultation with his doctor.  They need to pinpoint the location of his malignancy.  Pray!

It “appears” that my Mama will move into an assisted living facility at some point next week.  Nothing is set in stone yet but that looks very likely.  Eddie & Sue have done an awesome job of taking care of Mama and helping her through this process.  I am very grateful to them.

Evangelist Johnny Tucker will be our guest speaker on Sunday, July 31, in both the 10:30AM and 6:00PM services.  Please pray for those services and make plans to attend.  Invite others to join you.

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus!

FRIDAY, 7/15/22

“ONE MONTH, ONE CHURCH”  Friendship family, remember that we are having Sunday School (9:15AM) and our 10:30AM worship service only this Sunday morning.  We will also have VBS beginning at 5:00PM and our evening service beginning at 6:00PM.  No early morning worship service!

Nanette Fontenot sent me some wrong information – imagine that!  Her father, Terrell, received his test results and they were good but he goes back in six months for another test.  However, Nanette has not gotten the results from her test yet.  It must be tough getting old!  Poor Scott!

There were two salvation decisions at the McKemie Place last night as our folks ministered there.  Deacon Joey Bosarge shared the Word.  Praise the Lord!

I do not have an update on Miss Vinnie’s son-in-law, Hugh but do ask you to continue to pray.

Kendall Falana’s father passed from this life yesterday morning.  Pray for Kendall’s mother, Kendall and the family during this time of sorrow.

Keep praying for Myrtle Bowden.

Our ladies ministry needs more diapers to give away on the second Tuesday of each month.  A baby basinette is in the foyer of the auditorium to receive these diaper donations.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 7/14/22

Miss Vinnie Brewer’s son-in-law, Hugh, took a fall yesterday morning and has a broken hip.  Surgery is needed but the last I heard, the doctors are trying to decide the best course of action.  Pray for the doctors, Hugh and Shirley.

Nanette Fontenot got a good report on her biopsy.  Praise the Lord!

Sammy told us yesterday morning that Myrtle was having a much better day.  Keep praying for Myrtle.

The visitation with the Rickey Barkley family takes place today at the O’Bryant/O’Keefe Funeral Home in Moss Point.  It will begin at 2:00PM and last until the 4:00PM service time.  Pray for Carolyn and family.

Sonny Bates will travel to New Orleans next week for another visit with the doctor.  Pray for the doctors to be able to pinpoint his malignancy.

Miss Kittie Camp has been having difficulty breathing.  A shot has helped.  She will be in Grand Bay next week.  Pray for Miss Kittie.

Keith & Aninha are having some health issues within the family so pray for them.

We had a good attendance in our morning service yesterday but our evening attendance was not good.  Our younger generation needs to step it up when it comes to Wednesday nights!

“ONE MONTH, ONE CHURCH” is our theme this month.  Remember, no early service.  Our Sunday begins with Sunday School at 9:15AM.  This is true for the next three Sundays.  Pass the word!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 7/13/22

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.

Myrtle Bowden continues to battle her malignancy with great faith and a strong faith.  She also continues to have some daily struggles so please keep praying for Myrtle and family.

Nanette Fontenot’s thyroid biopsy took place Monday but I have not heard if she has gotten any results.  Ditto for her dad’s test results.  Pray for Nanette & Terrell.

Coley & Katelyn Johnson’s son, Bubba, has struggled with seizures basically all of his life.  Yesterday, they were told that it appears medications will no longer control the seizures and surgery will be required in the near future.  More tests will be performed, meetings among the doctors will take place, et cetera.  Pray for Coley, Katelyn & Bubba.

The visitation with the Buck Hudson family will take place this morning from 10:00AM until noon at Serenity Funeral Home.  Graveside service to follow at the Grand Bay Cemetery.  Pray for the family.

Andy Hamil sent word that Rickey Barkley has passed from this life.  Arrangements pending.  Pray for Carolyn and family.

Lisa and I did get to visit with Mama, Eddie & Sue.  We briefly toured an assisted living facility.  I am fairly certain that will be where Mama will live beginning fairly soon.  She is doing ok with the exception of the falls.  Thank you for the prayers.  By the way, the best part of the day was enjoying a bologna biscuit for breakfast – just saying!

Lisa and I also went to Pies By Mike in Clanton, Alabama.  We had seen the billboard on I-65 and decided to give it a try.  Mike was extremely nice and is very involved in his church.  If you traveling I-65 then take Exit 208 and try it.  Go to piesbymike.com for more information.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.
