FRIDAY, 8/31/18
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32)
Have you noticed how quickly the first eight months of 2018 have passed? Just saying!
Visited with Liz Whalen yesterday morning and she was doing well. Liz is such an encourager! She was waiting on the discharge orders and was then heading home. She wants to come to Sunday night’s service but I suspect she had best sit this one out. Keep praying for Liz.
Lisa and I attended the visitation with the Tammy Womack family last night. The service takes place this afternoon at 2:00PM. Those from the Friendship family helping with the food for the Womack family need to have it in our fellowship hall no later than 12:30PM. Thank you for helping minister to Pastor John and family. Pray for the Womack family.
It was good to see Larry & Judy Whitehurst last night. I would say that Larry looked good but he has never looked good so I cannot make that statement. He has now received eight of his twenty five radiation treatments.
Good news regarding Stacey Dyess’ parents as they have both been discharged from the hospital. His mother is in a rehab facility and his father is home. They both still have health issues so they need our continued prayer support.
Our deacons are getting things ready for our Sunday afternoon church fellowship featuring pulled pork cooked by Jack Lastorka and hot dogs grilled by the deacons. The Friendship family is asked to bring the sides and desserts. Remember, we will have at least seventy men from the Mission of Hope as our guests so we need lots of food! The church will provide the drinks.
I am looking forward to hearing from God through Dale Bosarge this Sunday morning and evening. Also looking forward to the church family being able to invest financially in the ministry God has given Dale & Karla. You know our love offering goal so let’s reach it plus more!
Speaking of giving, our online giving is up and running. Going to be out of town this weekend? Perhaps you would consider giving online?
Coach Eric Collier and his Bobcats travel to Baker High School tonight. I am in hopes they will come away with a victory! Coach Collier is a really good guy!
I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.
