Today’s Bible reading – Isaiah 60:1-62:5 Philippians 1:27-2:18 Psalm 72:1-20 Proverbs 24:11-12
Scott & Nanette Fontenot became grandparents again yesterday as their daughter, Kristin, gave birth to Thomas Isaiah Woods. He checked into this world weighing six pounds and eleven ounces. He is nineteen and half inches long. Mother and son are doing fine. Congratulations to Josh & Kristin, Scott & Nanette and Kerry & Sherry.
The celebration of life service for Margaret Davis takes place today at noon from the chapel at Serenity Funeral Home. It will be preceded by one hour of visitation with the family. Bro. Jerry will be preaching this service. Pray for the family and the service.
Greg Boutwell’s situation remains basically unchanged. Still receiving antibiotics through an iv. (I do not know how to spell intravenously) No talk of a specific date for him to be discharged.
Cynthia Cumbie has been moved from ICU to a regular room. No longer critical but still has much to overcome.
Holly Lybarger continues to struggle with her treatments. Pray for her.
Brian Amonett just gets better and better. Still has a ways to go in therapy but has come so far. He and his family are very thankful to everyone for their prayer support.
The New Beginnings Church family has requested (at my offer) for help with the food following the celebration of life service for Pastor Donald Sewer this Saturday. I will be speaking to Carol Lucky this morning and will share the specifics in tomorrow’s entry.
Thank you to each member of the Friendship family who traveled to Hattiesburg yesterday for the celebration of life service for Bro. J.B. Kelley. Good representation.
Lisa and I left Hattiesburg and headed a bit North (Ellisville) to visit with her Aunt Virginia. As always, we had a delightful time visiting with her.
I got home in time to spend about thirty minutes in prayer. I was very pleased with the number of folks who had signed in as taking part in the prayer time last night. Thank you!
Work day this Saturday beginning at 8:00AM. Pancake breakfast at 7:00AM. We need many folks to show up for the work day effort as there is much to do.
Nanette Fontenot is as mad as an old wet setting hen! Why? Great question! She thinks that I should have been at the hospital for family pictures yesterday! Can someone please explain to Nanette that just because you seriously dated someone does not mean you are a part of their family? I am already anxious about the parking lot tonight!
I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.
