MONDAY, 10/31/22

The Lord blessed us with a good day yesterday.  We saw another profession of faith in our second morning service which also included a very special parent/child dedication with Coley, Katelyn, Amelia & Samuel.  Folks, that one got to me!  We give God the praise for all He did!

The Trail of Truth and Treats went very well.  Five hundred and fifty nine folks went through the auditorium and received the Truth.  Bro. Dylan did an excellent job of presenting the Gospel.  Tons of candy was given away on the back forty along with hot dogs, popcorn and drinks.  I appreciate Bro. Abel & Candy and TJ & Lindsey for leading this ministry opportunity.  A huge “thank you” to each person who helped in any other way.  To God be the glory!

Today is going to be a big day for Bro. Abel and family as his oldest daughter, Francesca, is scheduled to give birth to her first child.  This will take place in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.  Pray for all to go well.

Shawn Grant was involved in a serious automobile accident last week and has already undergone two surgeries – knee and ankle.  She is in a hospital in Pensacola.  My plan is to visit with her today.

Steve Morris remains in a Mobile hospital doing rehab.  The thought is that he will be there for another two to three weeks.  Keep praying for Steve and Virginia.

I talked to Tiffany last night and she told me that Myrtle did not have a good afternoon.  Keep praying!

I was blessed to see Carol Lucky, Marjorie Peacock and Richard Tillman in our first service yesterday.

Chino’s mother, Gladys, arrived in Grand Bay late Friday evening and will be with us until this Friday.  Thank you to Aninha and the Spanish ministry for hosting her yesterday.

This Sunday, November 6, we are going to focus on our bus ministry which turned fifty years old this month.  What a blessing!  What a ministry!

We will be blessed to host Pastor Randy Von Kanel on Sunday, 11/13, as we celebrate seventy-five years as a church family.  We will have one morning service.  Our evening service will begin at 5:00PM followed by a church wide supper in the CAB.  Please pray, make plans to attend and bring others with you.

Please keep the date of Sunday morning, December 11, clear on your calendar and make plans to attend one of our morning worship services that day.  Special Gideon emphasis that morning.

Go ahead and keep the date of Thursday, January 12, 2023 open too.  We will host The Inspirations that evening beginning at 7:00PM!  (That is why Andy Hamil is smiling so much these days!)

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 10/21/22

Max Peacock passed from this life and entered Heaven yesterday afternoon.  I can with all honesty that Max Peacock was a very good man.  He was faithful to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Pray for Marjorie and the family as they walk through this valley.  Arrangements pending.

Steve Morris remains in the hospital.  The request is that he not have visitors for the time being.  He & Virginia are most thankful to each person who is praying and look forward to hosting visitors soon.  Keep praying.

Exciting news – Pastor Randy Von Kanel is going to be our guest messenger on Sunday, November 13, as we celebrate seventy five years as a church family.  Details to follow soon.  Going to be a great day in the Lord!

THURSDAY, 10/20/22

Max Peacock continues to need our prayer support.  Obviously, so does his wife, Marjorie.  Ours is not to ask why but to keep praying!

Steve Morris was moved out of ICU yesterday.  He is doing “ok” but is not up to having company.  I would say that it would be best to wait until at least after this weekend to visit Steve.  We will then see what his status is at that time.  In the meanwhile, keep praying for Steve & Virginia.

Cecil told us in the service yesterday morning that Myrtle is having some good days!  Praise the Lord!  Then Tiffany told me last night that Myrtle actually cooked supper the other night – how about that! Folks, Myrtle is a trooper!  Keep praying!

Word on the street is that Carol Lucky has plans to be in one of our morning services this Sunday.  Does that surprise me? Nope!  Carol loves the Lord, her family and her church family.  Keep praying for Carol & Terry!

If one of my maternal uncles was having a surgical procedure, I would know it in advance.  Just saying!  Pray for Howard Brinkman as he had a stent placed in a heart artery yesterday.

A good day in our services yesterday.  Our morning service attendance continues to be strong and our evening attendance is good!  We are about to move toward 50/50!  More details coming!

Not sure how well the food truck did last night but thank you to those who participated.

How about this weather?  The “cold” is gone for the time being but thank God for this time of refreshing!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 10/19/22

The Captain Coconut food truck will be on our campus today from 5:00PM – 8:00PM.  Cash only.  You can contact Bro. Dylan Westbrook for more information.

Steve Morris remains in ICU.  They are waiting on an open room on the rehab floor.  It is my understanding that he will be in rehab for three to four weeks.  Keep praying for Steve and Virginia.

Max Peacock remains at home seemingly resting peacefully.  Max has not had anything to eat or drink for the past three or four days.  Continue to pray for Max & Marjorie!

John & Teresa Ladnier are friends with the Ledet family whose twenty-one year old son was tragically taken from this life in an automobile accident this past weekend.  That service will take place today.  Pray for the family.

Also, Richard Timmons passed from this life.  He is Little Brian Belknap’s grandfather who was very involved in raising Lil Brian. Pray for this family as that service also takes place today.

Keep praying for Myrtle Bowden.

Continue to pray for Miss Vinnie’s son, Buddy.

A friend, Manuel, is scheduled to have a six hour surgery today and we have been asked to pray.

On Monday, I asked you to pray for an unspoken request.  God honored those prayers.  Thank you to those who prayed.

How about this weather?  Awesome!  Two days of it are better than no days of it.  Thank you Jesus.

I have attended revival services the past two nights at different churches.  The services were different but each has been effective and God has used them to speak to my heart.

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.  Hope to see many of you in attendance.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 10/17/22

Steve Morris remains in ICU.  The surgery was a success.  The doctor says Steve will be able to walk again.  They are managing his pain.  He is sleeping a lot of the time.  Long recovery in front of him.  Keep praying!

Max Peacock is seemingly very low physically.  Pray for Max and Marjorie.

Keep praying for Myrtle Bowden.  One day at a time for her.  Pray for her family.

Good day in our services yesterday.  God used Pastor Johnny to minister to us – some more than others.  Pastor Johnny is a walking miracle.  I am thankful that he and Miss Sharon gave up a Sunday to spend with us.

I have a very special unspoken prayer request this morning.  If possible, will you stop at 9:00AM Grand Bay time and ask God to move in a certain situation?  Thank you!

If you want to receive the internal email updates then you have to send me an email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net.  I am not assuming anything and am only adding folks who email me their request even if I already have their information.  This includes church leaders and all others.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

UPDATE ON STEVE MORRIS

At 10:00AM the nurse from the surgical unit called Virginia to let her know that Steve’s surgery is over and that it went well.  He will be taken back to the ICU.

Folks, the doctor said the surgery would be three to four hours in duration.  However, they started at 7:34AM and the call came at 10:00AM.  Praise the Lord!  Steve & Virginia are very thankful for all of the prayers.

Also, Bro. Johnny’s procedure is done and he is headed home.  Again, praise the Lord!
