“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

Each time I copy & paste the verse listed above it speaks to my heart.  God help me to be kind, to have a tender heart and to forgive others.  Man, if I could just put that one verse into practice every day of my life then I would be doing great.  Just preaching to myself this morning!

Liz Whalen’s surgery went well.  She should be discharged from the hospital today if all goes as planned.  I hope to see her early before she is discharged.

Larry Whitehurst will receive a radiation treatment this morning and then will head toward Grand Bay.  Pray for Larry & Judy as they travel.

The visitation with the Tammy Womack family takes place this afternoon/evening from 5:00 until 7:00PM at the Serenity Funeral Home.  I have a hunch the crowd will not be completely thinned out by 7:00PM.  The celebration of life service for Tammy will take place tomorrow afternoon beginning at 2:00PM from the chapel at Serenity.  Burial will be in the Grand Bay Cemetery.  Pray for Pastor John and family during this most difficult time.

Thank you to those who are helping with the feeding of the Womack family tomorrow.  Thanks to Tina Wilkinson for coordinating this ministry opportunity.  Thank you to Philadelphia Baptist for allowing us to help.  Food should be in our fellowship hall no later than 12:30PM tomorrow.

I do not have an update on Stacey Dyess’ parents.  Gayla, can you help me?

It will be an honor for us to host Dale & Karla Bosarge this Sunday morning and evening.  Friendship family, remember the meal at 5:00PM and the fact that seventy five men from the Mission of Hope are coming to join us.  We need tons of sides and desserts to go with the meat being provided by the church.  Also, remember the love offering for Dale & Karla.  Pray and give as the Lord leads.

Eddie Albritton & Marcus Hatcher are coordinating our basketball leagues this year.  Those two are going to do a great job just like Phillip Turner did last year.  More details coming soon!

Television has not done a good job of giving us any decent college football games tonight or tomorrow night.  I am ok with that as college football should be played on Saturdays beginning at 1:00PM!  I just hope I can get all of my “chores” done before Saturday afternoon.  If not, Lisa says no television!

Speaking of college football, Morris Bryant & my wife, Lisa, have hooked me up for the season – amazing!  I am grateful!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
