TUESDAY, 6/30/26

And just like that the first half of 2026 is gone!  Wow!

Praying for Addison Tillman this morning.  Praying for a miracle.

Praying for Andy Hamil’s upcoming surgery.  May it be a tremendous success.

Praying for Dr. Rex.

Our students (6th – 12th) will meet at house tomorrow night at 6:00PM for their praise & worship and Bible study.  The Tagerts will lead the musical worship and Bro. Abel will bring the spoken Word.  Afterwards, those in attendance are invited to stay for a watch party as the USMNT plays at 7:00PM meaning the party should end around 9:00PM.  Food, fellowship and fun!

This Sunday, July 5, will see us have two worship services – 10:00AM and 5:00PM.  Our morning service will be patriotic.  Come join us and bring others with you.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow with the exception of our students.  Hope to see you there!

The response to the call for cakes for the auction was good yesterday.  We are now at twenty-two cakes/pies.  The goal is fifty but we will go with it if we get forty commitments by this Sunday, 7/5.  If you will provide a cake or pie, please contact me at pastor@friendshipfamily.net.  Thank you!

I pray you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 6/29/26

This entry is late.  I apologize.  Red truck!

Thank you to each person who supported the taco meal yesterday.  Laura said the support was really good.  Also, thank you to those who gave to the love offering for camp.  That total was five hundred ninety-four dollars.  Amen!

Addison Tillman continues to be at the top of my prayer list.  Praying for a good meeting with the doctor later this week.  Praying for a miracle.

Andy Hamil’s surgery is scheduled for this Thursday, 7/2.  Keep praying!

Dr. Rex sees the infectious disease doctor this Thursday, 7/2.  Pray!

There is a schedule change for our middle school and high school students this Wednesday, 7/1.  Their Bible study will begin at 6:00PM and will take place at our house (10901 Potter Tract Road).  Dede, Ian & Sienna will be leading the musical worship and Bro. Abel will be teaching the Bible.  The Bible study will end at 7:00PM.  Afterwards, the students are invited to stay for a watch party as the USMNT will play Bosnia-Herzegovina beginning at 7:00PM.  (Only those present for the Bible study can attend the watch party).  Food and drink will be provided.

The GRACE Ministries cake auction is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 12.  As it stands right now, we have commitments for seven cakes and one cow.  Honestly, we need around forty more cakes/pies commitments by this Sunday, July 5.  I will make a definite decision, one way or the other, following this Sunday’s services.  I need folks to email me at pastor@friendshipfamily.net to commit to baking a cake.  Thank you to those who have already committed and to those who will commit.

This Sunday, July 5, we will have our two worship services – 10:00AM & 5:00PM.  Translated – no Sunday School, no chidren’s church, no bus ministry this Sunday.  Please pass the word!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

SATURDAY, 6/27/26

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow – morning and evening.

Taco lunch available immediately following our morning service tomorrow.  Eight dollars per plate with a maximum of thirty-five dollars per immediate family.  You can still pre-order by sending Laura Fosmore an email at laura.fosmore@gmail.com.  Otherwise, just go to the Preschool Building after the morning service to get your plate(s).

By the way, we will receive an offering during the morning service for folks who want to make a contribution to youth camp but may not want to get a meal.

Grant & Katie are now waiting on the results of the biopsy taken to come back so the next step to be taken can be determined.  Surgery is going to be required at some point and they will meet with the doctor this next week for scheduling, et cetera.  What all is going on with Addison?  You can speak with Grant or Katie for the specifics as I do not want to get things wrong.  The main thing is for us to just pray, pray and the pray some more for Addison.

Andy Hamil’s surgery is scheduled for this Thursday, July 2.  Keep praying.

Carol Lucky has had some physical difficulties recently so pray for Carol & Terry.

Keep praying for Dr. Rex Looney.  He will see the infectious disease doctor this Thursday, July 2.

I was told that in one of my previous entries I listed the cake auction as being on July 5.  If that were true, it would mean I made a mistake and we all know. . .   The cake auction is July 12.  Cakes needed.

I was able to attend the service at the Mission of Hope last night.  Holland Saucier and her dad, Blair, did a good job of sharing about their situation.  The young lady is a walking miracle.

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 6/26/26

At the very top of my prayer list today is Addison Tillman.  Refer to yesterday’s post for the details.  I do not know her appointment time but I do ask that you join me in praying for Addison, Grant & Katie, the specialist and anyone else involved in this case.  Lord, do it again, please!

The Friendship family will host a service at the Mission of Hope tonight beginning at 7:00PM.  Holland Saucier will be sharing a message in song and her dad, Blair Saucier, will be bringing the spoken Word.  Pray for this service.  Everyone invited!

Friendship family, please support the taco lunch being offered this Sunday, 6/28, immediately following our morning service.  our Spanish Yankee, Laura Fosmore, is the chief chef.  Eight dollars per plate with a maximum of thirty-five dollars per immediate family.  All proceeds go to support our students who will be attending camp in July.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.  Please join us!

How am I doing this morning after the soccer watch party last night?  Well, I will simply say that I was not able to get in touch with a shrink last night so I just wrapped my head in shrink wrap, took four 800 milligram ibuprofen pills, confessed sins I have never committed, took a shower for a physical cleansing, took a Calgon bath and went to bed when everyone left!  Other than that I am doing great!

Truthfully, twenty students came to the house and seemed to have a great time.  Lisa is a really great hostess.  Eddie Albritton did the grilling.  Chloe Fosmore brought homemade cookies.  Emmy & Nora brought homemade brownies.  I bought Sam’s Club cupcakes.  Denise Davila was the enforcer!  The students laughed, cheered, sang (zero potential soloist present of those who sang), ate and seemingly enjoyed the fellowship!

I need to check the calendar before announcing any plans for USA’s next game which is Wednesday night, 7/1, beginning at 7:00PM.

Wow, I have received many messages, calls, et cetera of support over the past couple of days.  I have been blessed and amazed.  Thank you for the prayers.  One of my prayers is that we will fill the house this Sunday to the glory of God.  Another prayer is that the glory of God will fill the house!

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus!

THURSDAY, 6/25/26

I received a message earlier this morning from Katie Tillman.  She shared a prayer request in our service last night but I was in with the students and did not hear it.  Addison Tillman, daughter of Grant & Katie, has a spot on one of her jaws.  They have taken her to the dentist/specialist.  Here is what Katie wrote me this morning in a follow up message: “I like specific prayers for my BIG GOD! Biopsy for lesion/ infection found on jaw. He knows, and He also puts people in your life for encouragement during circumstances. We love our church family and I know we need prayer and they will pray along with other blog readers.”  Please join me in praying for Addison, Grant & Katie.  Pray for a complete healing.  God can!

Important announcement:  in my Monday letter I shared that I was calling a “church family meeting” for this Sunday, June 28, beginning at 5:00PM.  The Bible says, “in the multitude of counsellors there is safety” and I met with our staff and deacons last night.  Upon my request, they agreed that the best thing is to just have our regular services this Sunday.  A letter is being sent today that gives more details.  I apologize for any confusion.  What folks did not know is that I was going to preach this Sunday evening before we had any meeting.  So, regular schedule this Sunday, 6/28.

Miss Vinnie Brewer called me yesterday to share that she is going to bake a cake for the auction on July 12!  Hip, hip hooray!  What a sweetheart!  Email me if you will do likewise, please.  pastor@friendshipfamily.net

Taco lunch this Sunday, 6/28.  Fundraiser for youth camp.  Cost is eight dollars per plate with a maximum of thirty-five dollars per immediate family.  The chef is Laura Fosmore.  She is a Yankee who knows how to cook Spanish food!

Soccer watch party tonight beginning at 8:30PM at our house.  I told the junior high students who were in attendance last night that they can join the fun if they so desire.  What do they need to bring?  Just themselves!  Lisa and I will furnish the food and drinks.  Someone pull my fingernails off!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 6/24/26

Dr. Rex Looney saw the surgeon yesterday and the doctor thinks it is possible for the Picc line to be removed now.  That decision will be made when Dr. Rex sees the infectious disease doctor on July 2.  Keep praying!

Shawn Grant’s sister recently passed from this life.  Pray for Shawn and family as they deal with this loss.

Laura Fosmore will be cooking tacos, rice and beans this weekend which will then be available as a take out meal immediately following our Sunday morning service.  The cost is eight dollars per plate.  Pre-ordering is not mandatory but is helpful.  Simply send Laura an email at laura.fosmore@gmail.com to place your order.

Our annual cake auction for emergency food situations in Guatemala will take place on Sunday, July 12.  Cakes needed!  Contact me personally if you will bake a cake.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and participation.

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.  Bro. Abel will be teaching in both services in the auditorium.  I will be teaching/sharing with our students in the 6:30PM service in the youth building.

Soccer watch party for our senior high students takes place at our house tomorrow night, 6/25, beginning at 8:30PM.  Lisa and I will provide the food and drinks.  Open to our rising ninth graders through the class of 2026.  (I still cannot believe I am doing this!  Soccer is not a sport!  Go USA!)

The Lord has blessed me with some great meetings with several members of the Friendship family the past two days.  I appreciate those folks and the conversations.  Yes, we are in a battle and the enemies are clearly identified in Ephesians 6:12.  I am blessed to say that I have no conflict with any human being.  This is definitely spiritual!  Thank God for Jesus!  Join me in praying without ceasing!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 6/23/26

First on my prayer list today is Dr. Rex Looney.  He is seeing the doctor today regarding the removal of his gall bladder on May 22, 2026.  They found an abscess between his gall bladder and liver.  A Picc line was put in place and Dr. Rex has been giving himself antibiotics daily and has been told he needs to continue doing this for four more weeks.  Pray for Dr. Rex.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow – morning and evening.  Bro. Abel will be teaching in the auditorium both services and I will be teaching our students beginning at 6:30PM in the youth building.

Yes, I have lost my mind.  On Thursday night, 6/25, Lisa and I will host a watch party for the USMNT and their game against Turkey.  This party will be begin at 8:45PM as the game begins at 9:00PM.  Food and drinks provided.  This is for our rising high school freshmen and includes the class of 2026.  Jesus is coming soon!

This Sunday, 6/28, Laura Fosmore will cook tacos, beans and rice for our enjoyment.  She will be cooking over a three stone fire on the back forty.  The meal will include two tacos, beans, rice, a cookie and a Pop to drink.  The cost is eight dollars per plate with a maximum of thirty-five dollars per immediate family.  The meals will be “to go” only and all proceeds will go toward our youth camp (7/20 – 24).  It would be great if folks will pre-order tomorrow morning or evening.  Or, simply email Laura at laura.fosmore@gmail.com.  Thank you!

I missed Jeanette and Kim this past Sunday but what a delight Sandra Francisco was at the piano in our worship service.

Our annual cake auction is rapidly approaching.  We need cakes to be baked, corn beef hash to be cooked, cows to be donated (?), et cetera.  All funds feed some of the hungriest children in the El Tejar, Guatemala area.  Thank you in advance for supporting this ministry effort!

I pray that you will have a great rest of your Tuesday with Jesus and will join us in Bible study tomorrow.

“For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age.”  (Ephesians 6:12)

MONDAY, 6/15/26

While I do not know all of the details, I do know that Larry Whitehurst needs our prayer support.  He has an aneurysm and the doctor has told him to be careful.  This can be serious so I am asking you to join me in praying for a miracle in Larry’s life.

I am told that the surgery for Andy Hamil has been scheduled for July 2.  Keep praying for Andy & Betty.

Bro. Abel tells me that Miss Edna continues to do well in her recovery.  Keep praying!

There will not be a pastor’s letter this week as Laura Fosmore is in Guatemala with the team.

Yesterday, 6/14, marked nine years since Soy, Deidra and the girls moved to Guatemala.  Victories and valleys but through it all God has been faithful.  No, I do not understand but I trust God as do Deidra and the girls.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 6/11/26

Edna Glover had a pacemaker put in place on Tuesday.  All went well.  I “think” she was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Pray for Edna & Allen.

It is traveling day for the folks coming to Guatemala for the GRACE Ministries mission trip.  We have team members flying from Boston, Atlanta, New Orleans, Gulfport and Mobile.  There has already been one “hiccup” in Boston but we are praying all will end well.  Pray for traveling mercies for our team members!

It has been raining in Guatemala but that is expected as this is their rainy season.  If the lightning stays away then we will simply have to work in the rain.

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
