I received a message earlier this morning from Katie Tillman.  She shared a prayer request in our service last night but I was in with the students and did not hear it.  Addison Tillman, daughter of Grant & Katie, has a spot on one of her jaws.  They have taken her to the dentist/specialist.  Here is what Katie wrote me this morning in a follow up message: “I like specific prayers for my BIG GOD! Biopsy for lesion/ infection found on jaw. He knows, and He also puts people in your life for encouragement during circumstances. We love our church family and I know we need prayer and they will pray along with other blog readers.”  Please join me in praying for Addison, Grant & Katie.  Pray for a complete healing.  God can!

Important announcement:  in my Monday letter I shared that I was calling a “church family meeting” for this Sunday, June 28, beginning at 5:00PM.  The Bible says, “in the multitude of counsellors there is safety” and I met with our staff and deacons last night.  Upon my request, they agreed that the best thing is to just have our regular services this Sunday.  A letter is being sent today that gives more details.  I apologize for any confusion.  What folks did not know is that I was going to preach this Sunday evening before we had any meeting.  So, regular schedule this Sunday, 6/28.

Miss Vinnie Brewer called me yesterday to share that she is going to bake a cake for the auction on July 5!  Hip, hip hooray!  What a sweetheart!  Email me if you will do likewise, please.  pastor@friendshipfamily.net

Taco lunch this Sunday, 6/28.  Fundraiser for youth camp.  Cost is eight dollars per plate with a maximum of thirty-five dollars per immediate family.  The chef is Laura Fosmore.  She is a Yankee who knows how to cook Spanish food!

Soccer watch party tonight beginning at 8:30PM at our house.  I told the junior high students who were in attendance last night that they can join the fun if they so desire.  What do they need to bring?  Just themselves!  Lisa and I will furnish the food and drinks.  Someone pull my fingernails off!
