Hey Bro. Teddie, Not sure if you spoke to Larry and Judy Whitehurst or Mrs. Kittie and Sonny after visitation last night. But after I spoke to Bro. Jerry I went in to see Gage and Dr. Gilbert the radiation oncologist was there. He did a very good job of explaining the type of tumor Gage has. He feels that due to Gages’ age and the fact that this is a slow growing low grade tumor we need to be very aggresive with therapy. He has recommended we go to UAB for evaluation and maybe treatment, always a possibility they will send him back here with treatment protocal. We were much more encouraged after talking to him. But, let me just tell you what God is up to… You know they have no insurance on Gage he will be 19 on April 16 and he hasn’t been in school or living at home for about 2 years. People have been coming to the hospital looking for Callie to give her gifts to help with Gages care and the money it takes to just stay with a family member in the hospital. We have doctors who are not charging us or have drastically reduced their fees to treat Gage. We have a hospital who reduced the cost of MRI’s and never made Callie pay a dime for him to be admitted for a brain biopsy, that is 3 days in neuro intensive care… We have this marvelous program Gage is a part of, Youth-Reach Gulf Coast, these guys are great. They took shifts yesterday and part of the staff was here all day. God is soooo Good. The visitation team from Friendship came last night not just one group but two. Today God will begin to complete the financial situation, since we have a diagnosis Gage will be approved for SSI and Medicaid. A lady from Callie’s school has a family member who owns a business and they want to set up a foundation for Gage and Youth-Reach is working on some assistance to help them do that. What can I say…Bad news…Great Big God… We love you all for all the prayers. Pattie
