TUESDAY, 1/13/09
Yesterday proved to be a long day. I went to the hospital last night as Sandy Felps had some type of “spell” that caused the medical staff to move her to ICU. When I left last night, they still had not determined what caused the problem. Pray for Sandy, Bobby Jack & their family.
Carl & Connie Bradley were called to the hospital to be with their niece, Amelia Bradley, 16, from Lucedale, MS. She went into cardiac arrest and was sent by helicopter from Lucedale to Mobile. The last word I received last night was that she was still listed as critical and was on a ventilator.
Carla Felps received her new treatment last Thursday and it has knocked her back a few steps as it is a strong treatment. Shea Childress goes for another treatment today. Amy Huhn’s mother, Gloria Morrison, has a MRI done today. Joyce Bosarge & Jimmy Crawley continue to be at home in their respective battles against cancer. Pray for these folks.
Miss Kathleen Henderson remains hospitalized and will probably remain there for several more days. She went in on New Year’s Eve so she is restless. Pray for her.
GRACE Ministries is financially helping a gentleman from a neighboring village have a much needed, probably past due surgery. Pray for him. Thanks to Louise Mason & Samuel Acan for their help in getting this gentleman to the hospital. Thank you to all who contribute to GRACE Ministries as it allows us to be able to help in situations like this one.
Today is scheduled to be a good day for me as “mama” comes home. If you think I am excited, you should see more girls. They will be glad to see the drill sargeant go back into the wood work and mama at home!

I saw Sandra Law at CVS and the doctor has told her husband his cancer has disappeared. He said the type of cancer that it is could return, but for now, it’s good news.
Please remember me in your prayers. I have had some blood work being done awaiting results, while in the meantime my blood pressure has started rising. I have Behcet’s Syndrome which is a rare auto immune disease. I take alot of medicine which has caused me to have a large growth on my liver (it’s the size of one full lobe) the has already been biopsied and it is benign. The disease causes alot of different symptoms. I started having a migraine headache and it went on for about seven days. I was dizzy and off balance and very clumsy while I had this headache which was unusual. After the headache stopped, I couldn’t hear out of my right ear. I went to the doctor and I have had a stroke in the nerve around the cochlea deep in the ear. This actualy caused the headache. I’ve lost 25% hearing that cannot be restored. He said it could possibly get worse. The chamber in fron of the cochlea has stopped producing the fluid which is actually another condition which was brought on by the stroke. I cant have salt, caffiene, STRESS (LOL!!!!!) or alot of NOISE!!!When I go back in a week they will test my hearing again to see if things have worsened. I will possibly have to get a hearing aid. He said that my ear was at risk to stroke again.If the hearing test has changed they will do an MRI to make sure there is not a tumor.
I say all that to say this. When the doctor was telling me all this , in my mind all I could hear was the song No other name but the name of Jesus. I’ve been singing it all day. I know that God is in control of my life and I pray for his strength every day of it. I couldn’t go on without it. Please Pray for my family. The devil pulls on them without fail. He’s persistent.
