SUNDAY, 2/7/21

Happy fifth birthday to our grandson, Asher!  Asher was born in South Korea and has been a delight to our family.  We love Asher and hope that his birthday is the best!

Miss Cora Martin was taken to the hospital last night.  This is Clara Broadus’ mother.  Pray for Miss Cora.

Miss Kittie Camp was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Once at home she was studying her SS lesson – wow!  Keep praying for Miss Kittie.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.  Yes, we will have our regular evening activities today.

Deacons meet at 4:00PM today.

Lisa arrived on GRACE Mountain safe and sound yesterday afternoon.  All is well there.

We need eleven more sponsors to have all one hundred and sixty of our students at Colegio JET sponsored.  My goal is to reach that number by the end of today.  A sponsorship is only forty dollars per month which basically equates to one dollar and thirty cents per day.  This provides two meals per day for a sponsored child.  Interested?  Send me an email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net and I will put Deidra in touch with you.

I pray that you will have a great Sunday with Jesus.

SATURDAY, 2/6/21

Miss Kittie’s surgery was deemed a success as the doctor was able to decrease the valve leakage by fifty percent.  The surgeon thinks Miss Kittie will feel much better now.  She remains in the hospital but hopefully will be discharged today.  Keep praying for Miss Kittie!

Debbie Kendrick’s had another appointment with the doctor and it was determined that her broken hip was worse than originally diagnosed.  So, the doctor is going to have a consultation with other doctors to decide the best way to correct the effects of this injury.  In the meanwhile, Bill & Debbie are asked to remain in quarantine.  Keep praying for Debbie!

Still rejoicing over Larry Crawley’s good report!  Keep praying!

Basketball this morning in the CAB.  Eddie Albritton has done a great job of leading this ministry this year.  Thank you Eddie!

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

Our deacons will meet tomorrow afternoon at 4:00PM.

Lisa leaves this morning for a week in Guatemala.  Pray for her to have safe travels.  Guatemala’s economy is about to receive a huge boost!  Just saying!

FRIDAY, 2/5/21

Pray for Miss Kittie Camp as the doctor will be correcting the leaking heart valve today.  The thought process is this will help Miss Kittie tremendously.  We need her strong and healthy for another twenty five years or so.  Thank God for Miss Kittie!

Larry Crawley got a tremendous report yesterday regarding the scan taken earlier this week.  Here is what he sent out electronically yesterday: “Dr said definitely in holding pattern with some scar scans showing up which means healing…. no spreading and no other blood problems but more importantly PSA level is .002 almost nil so praise God for all the prayers of the saints and the faithfulness and mercy of Jesus.”

Last day of basketball tomorrow.  Pray for this ministry.

Regular schedule on our campus Sunday morning and evening.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 2/4/21

Happy birthday to our daughter, Henni!  I hope she has had a good day!  We love Henni!

The heart cath on Miss Kittie went well and gives the doctor a good look at what he needs to do tomorrow concerning her valve.  Pray for Miss Kittie and this procedure.

Stacey Dyess’ mother passed away this past Monday.  The service took place today.  Pray for Stacey’s family.

The team in Guatemala had a good last day of ministry yesterday.  Dr. John & Robin Gissal spent much of the day extracting teeth.  The other team members did the house dedications.  Share time was sweet.

Five of the team members left GRACE Mountain at 4:15AM this morning.  If all goes well they will be at their respective home airports around 4:00PM.

The other seven team members (all Yankees) and I left GRACE Mountain at 8:30AM.  The Yankees are scheduled to arrive at Grand Rapids at 11:59PM but the wind and snow may have a say in that.  Lord willing, I will land around 10:30PM.

Thank you to each person who have prayed for the team.  They did a great job and their attitudes were top notch.  Deidra did an outstanding job of coordinating everything for the team.

We have twelve children from Colegio JET who need a sponsor.  Only twelve!  I would love to have these twelve children sponsored by the end of the day this Sunday, 2/7.  Forty dollars a month is all it takes.  Interested?  Need more information?  Contact Deidra at dtaylor0811@gmail.com.  Pass the word, please.

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.

I pray that you will have a great rest of Thursday with Jesus.

Miss Kittie Camp’s scan revealed a leaking valve.  A heart cath will be done tomorrow and then, if all is well, a procedure on the valve will take place on Friday.  Join me in praying for Miss Kittie.

I am fairly certain that Larry Crawley’s test takes place today.  Keep praying for Larry.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.

All is well with the team in Guatemala.  Yesterday was a day of building houses, hosting a medical clinic, hosting a dental clinic and hosting a food distribution.  No hiccups.  Praise the Lord!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 2/2/21

Miss Kittie Camp will be having a scan this week to see if she has heart valve leakage.  Pray that all goes well.

Larry Crawley will be having some tests done regarding his malignancy.  Keep praying for Larry.

The team in Guatemala got good news last night.  Eleven folks needed to have a Covid-19 test to determine if they could fly back to the States this Thursday, 2/4.  All eleven tested negative!  Praise the Lord!

Monday was a good day as the team did medical and dental at the school along with building four more houses.

Speaking of tests, pray that Matthew Cain can get a negative test soon.  He went back to the States for his Uncle’s funeral service, tested positive and now cannot come back into Guatemala until he gets a negative test.

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 2/1/21

I heard that things went well in our services yesterday.   I am thankful to Bro. Jerry & Bro. Abel for filling the pulpit in my absence.

Our bus ministry had a really strong day yesterday!  I think the numbers were sixty seven on the buses and ninety in children’s church.  Praise the Lord!

Still looking to hear from anyone from the Friendship family who has had the virus since last March.  As far as I know, we are presently virus free as a church family.  We give God the thanks!

The team in Guatemala had a good Sunday.  Church service, church fellowship and then Antigua.  All is well.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

SATURDAY, 1/30/21

I am going to go with the “no news is good news” theory as I am not hearing anything from the home front.  That is a good thing.

Have heard of no new cases of the virus within the Friendship family and that is good too.  Praise the Lord!  Keep praying for those who are battling the disease.

Basketball this morning beginning at 8:00AM.  Pray for this ministry.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening including our AWANA ministry and children’s choir.

The team in Guatemala had a good day yesterday.  Breakfast, feed the students, devotion and then house building.  Two houses were completely finished and the other two are basically ready for the tin.  Good fellowship within the team and with the families for whom the houses are being built.

Today will basically be a repeat of yesterday with the exception of adding a food distribution and beginning cooking to serve the church lunch tomorrow.

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 1/29/21

Thank you to those who responded to my request asking which members of the Friendship family have tested positive for Covid-19 since last March.  So far, I have had everyone on my list but it is nice to have that confirmed.  Not going to share names.  So, if you have tested positive since March 2020 and are an active member of the Friendship family please send me an email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net.

The mission team arrived on GRACE Mountain around 3:00PM or so yesterday.  They quickly went to Colegio JET to spend time with the older students.  It was then off to the mall food court for supper and then time to call it a day.  They were all physically tired.

Scott Peyton, Max & Margie Peacock’s son-in-law, from Michigan stopped by the mission house last night with two pastors.  They toured the house and the school buildings.  Very nice men.  Very excited to see all that God has done on GRACE Mountain.

This morning will see the team serve breakfast to the younger students, have a morning devotional and then head out to build houses.  It promises to be a great day.

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.  My prayer is that many members of the Friendship family will be in attendance.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 1/28/21

Good morning from GRACE Mountain.

I really do not have any “new” news regarding the folks on our prayer list.  I do know that we added two more folks to the list of those within the Friendship family who have been diagnosed with the virus.  Pray for all of these folks.

Speaking of folks who are actively involved in the Friendship family, I am trying to keep a tally of those who have tested positive.  If you have tested positive at any point since March of 2020, would you send me an email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net?  I “think” I have everyone on my list but I could be wrong.

We have twelve folks from Alabama, Michigan & Mississippi heading to Guatemala today.  Pray for safe travels and a great week of ministry.  The needs here are very great.   By the way, eight of the team members are first timers to GRACE Mountain.  Joey & Bibbi Bosarge were set to join us but that is not going to happen now.  I am going to miss Joey!

I watched a guy administer a Covid test today.  The “Q-tip” he used had to be sixteen inches long and he used very inch!  The results were negative but it hurt me just to watch it!  I mainly watched because our whole team will have to be tested before flying home and I wanted to see the process.  I am going to ask to be put to sleep before being tested!  (Calling Dr. Stan Gordon!)

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
