Sandra Francisco had surgery on one of her eyes yesterday.  She is now awaiting the results from some tests.  Pray for Sandra.

Annette Williams is scheduled to have a heart cath tomorrow.  Pray that all goes well.

Marie Brooks “may” have been discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Keep praying for Marie.

Lisa and I arrived in Decatur very early this morning.  I came to the hospital to pray with my sister-in-law, Sue, before she went into surgery to have her knee replaced.  As I write this, the surgery has been completed and all went well.

I will leave here and go spend most of the remainder of the night with Mama.  Driving home tonight, Lord willing.  In the pulpit tomorrow morning and evening.

Stacey & Gayla Dyess will be cooking chicken for our “A Valentine For Vinnie” fellowship meal this Sunday, 2/15.  Friendship family, please bring two sides and a dessert.  Bring enough for those with you plus two others.

A belated happy birthday to our granddaughter, Sydney.  She turned thirteen years old yesterday.  Deidra now has two teenagers – oh my!  We love Sydney and I pray that she had a great day.  I know Deidra made sure that she did!

We were blessed with a good day in our services yesterday.  The attendance was down a bit there was a freedom to preach and an excellent spirit in the place.  Praise the Lord!

Marie Brooks “may” be discharged from the hospital today.  She is still battling pneumonia.  Keep praying for Marie!

Lord willing, I will leave at some point tonight heading to Hartselle in order to visit with my Mama.  Her eighty-seventh birthday is Wednesday, 2/11. Dad would have turned ninety on the same date.

A “Valentine with Vinnie” takes place this Sunday, 2/15.  Both services.  Fellowship meal to follow the evening service.  Going to be a great day to the glory of God.  We love Miss Vinnie! I am praying for a packed house in both services!  Join us!

Revival services with Evangelist Dan Lanier the dates of Sunday, 2/22, through Wednesday, 2/25.  Pray for revival!

Happy tenth birthday to our grandson, Asher.  His Mimi has already taken him out for breakfast and his family will make sure today is a celebration.  We love Asher and I hope his special day will be totally awesome.  Happy birthday, Asher.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.  Lord willing, I will be in the pulpit both services.  Presently sitting in the airport in Guatemala City waiting for my flight to Atlanta.

No blog entry yesterday and a late one today.  What is up with that?  Great question!  No reasonable answer.  Sorry!

Marie Brooks seemingly took a turn for the worse a couple of nights ago but it turns out that is was not heart related but rather she was diagnosed with pneumonia.  Marie is obviously a sick lady.  Join me in praying for her to have a complete recovery.  Marie is a sweetheart!

You already know that my Mama is in a rehab facility.  I spoke with her via the phone on Wednesday night.  She is physically weak.  I have conferred with our deacons and, Lord willing, I will travel to Hartselle Monday night, 2/9, and visit with her on Tuesday before returning home in order to be in our Wednesday services.  Thank you for praying for Mama.

“A Valentine For Vinnie” will be our focus on Sunday, 2/15.  I am so looking forward to this most special day!  We will have a great time in our morning and evening services and a church wide meal following the evening service.  Make plans now to join us!

Revival services the dates of Sunday, 2/22, through Wednesday, 2/25.  Evangelist Dan Lanier will be the messenger.  Pray, attend invite others and then pray some more.

Happy birthday to our daughter, Hien.  It is hard to believe that she is now thirty-four years old – wow!  I pray that she will have a great day!  We love Hien!

Marie Brooks suffered a heart attack Monday night and is in the hospital.  Bro. Abel has visited her at least once and I appreciate him doing so.  Pray for Marie and her family.

Dawn Mason was moved to a regular hospital room yesterday.  The surgery was serious and we be in the hospital until probably this weekend.  Pray for Dawn & Bro. Michael.

Lisa visited my Mama in the rehab facility yesterday.  Mama is physically weak.  Continued prayers much appreciated.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and tonight.  It is forecast to be a rainy day.  I pray that our folks will be faithful.

Bro. Abel affirmed what Lisa had told me about this past Sunday’s services.  Well attended with good spirit.  He also said that the SS worker’s meeting and the Refresh Committee’s meetings went well too.  Praise the Lord!

Evangelist Michael Mason is serving as our team pastor on GRACE Mountain this trip.  Yesterday morning, his wife, Dawn, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.  Emergency surgery took place yesterday afternoon and she was placed in ICU.  It appears she will be hospitalized for several days.  So, Bro. Michael will depart from Guatemala this morning and should be home in the early afternoon.  Pray for Dawn.  Pray for Michael.

My Mama was moved to a rehab facility yesterday afternoon.  Lisa is in North Alabama so she was able to be there with her (along with Eddie & Sue) when the move was made.  Lisa will visit with her again today.  Thank you for praying for Mama.

Eddie Albritton will lead a basketball clinic for girls tonight and then one for boys Thursday night.  Pray for this ministry.

I am told that in spite of the much colder weather (for South Mobile County) that we had a good attendance and a good day in our services.  Praise the Lord!  Thank you to those who were faithful to attend.

Special thank you to those from the Friendship family who attended the visitation/service for Eddie A’s brother-in-law on Saturday.  Much appreciated by Eddie and his family.

Bro. Abel tells me that Saturday’s basketball games/closing ceremony went very well.  Again, praise the Lord!

If all goes as planned, my Mama will be moved to a rehab facility at some point today.  Thank you for praying.

The entire GRACE Ministries team is now present and accounted for!  What a day of travel with multiple delays but all is well that ends well (or so they say)!

Basketball tonight beginning at 7:00PM and tomorrow beginning at 8:00AM.  Closing ceremonies tomorrow afternoon.  Everything in the CAB.  Pray for this ministry.

My Mama was admitted to the hospital (which she does not like) and will remain there until at least Monday.  Plans call for her to then go into rehab for twenty-one days.  Thank you for praying.

Eddie A sent me a message letting me know that there will be a visitation with the Keyes family this Saturday, 1/31, from 10:00 – 11:00AM at the Morning Star Baptist Church 436 Summerland Road Taylorsville, MS 39168.  Just FYI if anyone can attend the visitation.  Obviously, it will be inside.

Word came to me through my wife that our service last night was good and well attended even though the temperatures were on the cool side for South Mobile County.  Thank you to those who were faithful to attend.

The celebration of life graveside service for Charles Calvin Keyes will take place this Saturday, 1/31, at the Mt. Williams M.B. Church 235 Mt. Williams Road in Taylorsville, MS 39168 beginning at 11:00AM.  This is approximately a two hours fifteen minutes drive from Grand Bay.  I cannot attend since I am in Grand Bay and Bro. Abel cannot attend because of our basketball ministry.  I have had a few folks tell me they plan to attend.  Eddie Albritton has been the epitome of faithfulness to our church since the day he got saved.  He is a deacon, SS teacher, involved in our sports ministry, goes on mission trips, et cetera.  I pray our folks will support Eddie and his family extremely well during this time.  One word of caution – this is scheduled to be a graveside service and high temperature in Taylorsville, MS on Saturday is forecast to be thirty-two degrees.  Keep praying for Wendy and her family during this difficult time.

Final Friday night and Saturday of our basketball ministry for this season.  Closing ceremony Saturday afternoon/evening. I appreciate Bro. Abel leading this ministry.  The beginning of Spring soccer is just around the corner!

The team from Michigan is scheduled to arrive on GRACE Mountain today.  Pray for traveling mercies.

My Mama took a fall yesterday morning and hit the back of her head pretty hard.  She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and because of the fall and other reasons she was admitted.  Prayers appreciated.  I am thankful that my siblings are there with her.
