TUESDAY, 11/6
Oops! Believe it or not, I simply forgot to post an entry yesterday. I left fairly early for the hospital and decided to post when I got back home. It dawned on me late yesterday afternoon that I never did post. Sorry about that! (It is the time change!)
We had a good Sunday. The evening message was strong and long but it did get folks to talking. I have had a lot of feedback from those, young and old, in attendance. I have been contacted by folks who were not in attendance wanting to know what the message was about. You just had to have been there!
Melissa Brown and Sharon Jardee both had surgical procedures done yesterday. They both did well. Ricky Mang is scheduled for an appendectomy this moring at 8:00AM unless they did it as an emergency during the night. Carla Kyser meets with the doctor today to discuss the results of her scan from last Thursday. Betty McDonald continues to take her daily radiation treatments. Morris Bryant & Aaron Odom are at home recovering from their respective surgeries. Please pray for all of these folks!
We continue to have folks doing things as a part of Operation Homecoming which is getting us ready for the 60th anniversary celebration this Sunday, 11/11. Thank you to each person who is helping in any way!
If you are looking to set a world record here is one you might want to break – yesterday, in Dublin, TX, Jackie Bibby sat in a bathtub for forty-five minutes. No big deal you say? I forgot to mention that he was joined by 87 rattlesnakes! Today, he will try to improve on his world record of holding rattlesnakes by their tails in his mouth. He set the record of 10 last year and will go for 11 today!
This is a busy week as we prepare for our Widow’s Nite Out and the homecoming weekend activities. Please don’t forget the work day this Saturday morning beginning at 7:00AM.
Hope you have a great Tuesday with Jesus!
