Aaron Odom came home from the hospital yesterday and that is good news! Sharon Jardee was admitted to the hospital as she continues to have problems with her knee post surgery. Morris Bryant will have surgery to remove his gall bladder this morning. Please pray for these folks!
I think we would all be wise to conserve our water supply. The town of Orme, Tennessee (145 residents) has already run out of water due to the drought and the mayor only turns the water on from 6:00PM until 9:00PM nightly. They are trucking water in from Alabama. Of course, the states of Alabama, Georgia, & Florida are in serious talks regarding the sharing of water supplies.
You want to buy a town? The town of Albert, Texas (50 miles north of San Antonio) is up for sale on eBay for 2.5 million dollars. You get thirteen acres of land in the deal along with a tractor shed, a house, et cetera. Personally, I wouldn’t give 2.5 million dollars for the entire state of Texas! (That was for Gene & Gena)
Some folks are still scared to use computers and the internet. Wonder what they would think of the ten Shell stations in Chicago, IL where you simply scan your finger across a screen to pay for your fuel purchase? It is all about biometrics as the screen reads your fingerprint which is linked to your checking or credit card account.
Did you hear about the woman who found the bag on the road yesterday morning in St. Petersburg, FL? It had $65,000 cash inside. It had fallen from a Loomis armored car. She called her supervisor who immediately called the authorities. Isn’t it good to hear about an honest person?
Don’t forget to “fall back” tomorrow night as we gain that hour back. I love all Sundays but have to admit this is my favorite Sunday of the year outside of Christmas & Easter.
