TUESDAY, 8/8/23

Robert Baria remains in the hospital.  I will be going there this morning to meet with Robert & Roseanne as they have some decisions to make.  If you will, please stop right now and say a prayer for Robert & Roseanne.  What a great couple!

Scott Fontenot’s surgery is set to take place early in the morning.  It is going to be a three to four hour surgery per the surgeon.  I will going to send Bro. Jerry to sit with Nanette as they are in his Sunday School class and I have the service in the morning.  However, Nanette threw a fit so I will go sit with them until I have to leave for the service.  Scott & Nanette are a great couple too!

Jeanette Bates has an appointment with a knee specialist tomorrow afternoon.  Can you say “knee replacement?”  Pray that he can get her in for surgery soon.  She has been so stubborn but now it is bone on bone.  (Henry, if Jeanette can get an appointment basically on the spot, what is your delay?  Asking for a friend!)

Debbie Kendrick sent me an update on Pastor Brannon Lott from Wade Baptist.  His condition has improved greatly.  Still has a long way to go but is better.  Keep praying.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

We need folks to volunteer to facilitate the Experiencing God Bible study that will begin September 10.  After much discussion, the ministerial staff has decided this study will take place from 4:00 – 5:00PM on Sundays.  Our evening worship service will continue to take place beginning at 5:00PM.  Obviously, we are in hopes every member of the Friendship family will be involved in this study.  Want to be considered to serve as a facilitator?  Contact Bro. Abel.  (He “may” have a sufficient number so please be understanding if that is the case)

According to the Weather Channel, the forecast for the next ten days does not show a high under ninety-two degrees or a low under seventy-five degrees.  Translated – it is hot!  Stay cool and thank God for air conditioning.

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus!

MONDAY, 8/7/23

I would ask you to join me in praying for the young man who suffered an apparent seizure at the close of our morning service yesterday.  He was admitted to the hospital and will have tests today.

Robert Baria seemed to be “better” yesterday but still has a ways to do.  Most likely, he will have to go into a rehab facility before he can come home.  Keep praying for Robert & Roseanne.

Scott Fontenot is scheduled to have his sinus surgery this Wednesday morning.  Pray for Scott & Nanette.

Pastor Brannon Lott from Wade Baptist Church in Wade, MS is in M.D. Anderson Hospital and is need of our prayer support.  Pray for him, his wife, their children and the Wade Baptist family.

We were blessed with a really strong day in our services yesterday.  Praise the Lord!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

Robert Baria was taken by ambulance to the hospital yesterday.  To say he is not a happy camper would be an understatement.  Keep praying for Robert & Roseanne.

Bubba Baggett’s paternal grandmother passed from this life on Tuesday, 8/1.  The visitation and service will take place this Saturday, 8/5, from Serenity Funeral Home.  Visitation begins at 10:00AM and continues until the 11:00AM service time.  Pray for the Baggett family as they walk through this valley.

Good day in our services yesterday.  Praise the Lord!

WEDNESDAY, 8/2/23

Robert Baria was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon.  Suffice it to say that he was ready to get home!  Roseanne is in hopes that physical therapy can begin today.  Keep praying for Robert & Roseanne.

Nanette Fontenot sent me a message yesterday letting me know that Scott will be having serious sinus surgery next Wednesday, 4/9.  It made me hurt just to read what she wrote about the surgery.  However, it is supposed to be outpatient surgery.  Pray for Scott and Nanette.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.

Any member(s) of the Friendship family interested in a mission trip in December ’23 and/or June ’24 needs to contact me personally via email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net.  As it stands right now, the December trip is probably full but there are some spots on the June trip.

Looking forward to sharing more about the Experiencing God study that will soon (September) be starting within the membership of the Friendship family.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 8/1/23

First, I want to wish a belated happy sixty-sixth wedding anniversary to Lisa’s parents, Charles & Ann Clark, as they marked this milestone this past Sunday, July 30th.  Congratulations!

The Lord blessed us with a great day this past Sunday.  Great attendance in our morning service.  The evening service at the GBCOG was a blessing too.

Robert Baria really needs our continued prayer support.  He is not doing well.  Roseanne certainly needs us to uplift her in prayer as she travels to and from the hospital and continues to make decisions relating to Robert’s treatment.  Pray, pray, pray!

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.  Praying for a great attendance.

On Sunday, September 10, we will begin studying “Experiencing God” on Sunday evenings in small group settings on our campus.  Details forthcoming.  Make plans to join us.

Folks have already begun asking about our June 2024 mission trip.  Sign up is taking place this month.  Contact me personally via email for the specifics.  pastor@friendshipfamily.net

Remember how folks say in January & February, “I will be glad when we got some hot weather?”  Hello!  LOL!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 7/26/23

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.

Robert Baria has been moved to a regular hospital room.  He wants to go home – imagine that!  Keep praying for Robert & Roseanne.

Andy Hamil will have a stress test today.  I sure hope he studied!  Pray for Andy that all will go well!

Hilda Gunter’s daughter, Stacey, will have surgery this morning.  Pray for a successful surgery.

“Plus One” is our emphasis this Sunday morning, 7/30.  Please attend our 10:00AM service and bring at least one unchurched person with you.  Cindy Stanford will be our guest soloist.  Do not miss this service!  Pray!

This Sunday evening, 7/30, we will not have anything on our campus but will instead go to the campus of the Grand Bay Church of God for an evening of praise and worship.  Cindy Stanford will be a part of that service too.  My hope is for the Friendship family to attend that service in large numbers.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 7/25/23

Robert Baria remains in the hospital.  The doctors are keeping him sedated so as to allow him to rest.  Pray for Robert as he heals but also for Roseanne as she travels to and from the hospital daily.  Robert & Roseanne are grateful for you prayer support.

The last report I received on Richard Bentley’s brother was that he was not doing good.  The doctors have not given the family much hope since all of this began.  Pray for all involved in this situation.

If my memory serves me correctly, Hilda Gunter’s daughter, Stacey, will be having surgery tomorrow.  Pray.

I pray you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.
