MONDAY, 9/26/22

Zach & Mary Anne Huhn welcomed Addie Jane Huhn into this world yesterday.  She checked in weighing six pounds and ten ounces and measures seventeen and three quarter inches tall.  All is well!  Congratulations to Zach & Mary Anne along with the proud new grandparents, Gary & Amy Huhn!

The Lord blessed the Friendship family with a really good Sunday!  It began with another profession of faith following our 10:30AM service.  The Lord gives the increase and we give Him the glory!

Our church wide fellowship at Presley’s Outing was a huge success – glory to God!  Our deacons, staff and their wives were excellent hosts and hostesses.  The food they cooked along with the sides brought by the church family was delicious and in abundance.  Thank you to each person who helped in any way!

The attendance was strong although I do not have a number yet as I need to get with Lynn Presley to settle up.  We were blessed with guests and family members of those being baptized.  I am grateful to have had those folks join us.

We were able to worship as nine folks followed the Lord in believer’s baptism.  That was a unique experience.  Again, glory to God!

We came away from Presley’s missing two or three life jackets for children.  Scott Fontenot, Richard Bentley and Chris Howell graciously provided boat and wave runner rides – thank you guys very much.  So, if anyone has an extra life jacket from yesterday’s fellowship, please contact the church office.

One final “thank you” from the fellowship goes to Gary Walton for providing the shuttle service from the parking area to the picnic area.  Nice gesture on his part!

As of last night, the situation with Miss Betty Sessions, Johnny’s mother, had not changed.  Pray for Miss Betty and the family during this time.

Dale Ellerman is scheduled to be discharged from the rehab facility today.  Keep praying for Dale.

If all goes as planned, Carol Lucky will be discharged from the rehab facility on Wednesday.  She and Terry desire your continued prayer support.

Steve Morris continues to have some physical struggles.  Tests this week to help know what is taking place.  Keep praying for Steve and Virginia.

Keep praying for Myrtle Bowden.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

Gary & Amy Huhn are set to become grandparents at any time now.  Their daughter-in-law, Mary Anne, is in the hospital and has been there since Friday night.  Pray for Mary Anne and Zach as they go through this exciting time of awaiting the arrival of their child.  I am excited for this young couple and these grandparents to be!  Pray that all goes well.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord!  It appears that Johnny Sessions’ mother, Miss Betty, is near passing from this life.  Pray for Miss Betty and her family as they go through this time.

WEDNESDAY, 9/21/22

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.  We have been enjoying very good attendance on Wednesdays for the past three or four weeks.  My prayer is that will continue today.

I ask that you continue to pray for Carol Lucky and Dale Ellerman in their respective recoveries from surgery.  They are both very appreciative of the prayer support and are strong believers in the power of prayer.

Myrtle Bowden also continues to need our prayers.  She has such a strong faith that God is going to heal her.  Keep praying!

Our church wide fellowship takes place this Sunday, 9/25, at Presley’s Outing from 4:00 until 7:00PM.  We will observe the ordinance of baptism beginning at 4:30PM and then will eat directly afterwards.

Our deacons will prepare the hamburgers and hotdogs along with the trimmings and drinks.  Those attending are asked to bring the sides and desserts.

MONDAY, 9/19/22

The Lord blessed us with good services yesterday as Bro. Alex did a very nice job of sharing with us in all three services.  Alex is such a nice gentleman.  Thank you to those who gave to the love offering for Alex & Alice.  Pray for the ministry in India.

Allen Glover’s uncle, Edd Morrison, age ninety-nine, passed from this life last Wednesday.  The visitation and celebration of life took place yesterday afternoon in Eufaula, Alabama.  (Technology can be great but sometimes not so much – long story.  I only learned of the arrangements very late last night)

Carol Lucky will most likely be moved to a rehab facility at some point today.  Keep praying for Carol.

Dale Ellerman remains in a rehab facility in the Birmingham area.  Pray for Dale.

Steve Morris did not feel well enough to attend the church services yesterday.  Please pray for Steve.

Myrtle Bowden has good days and not so good days.  She desperately wants to be present in our church services.  Her faith in the Lord is very strong.  Keep praying!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 9/16/22

The surgeon who performed surgery on Carol Lucky came into the waiting room right before 8:00PM last night.  The actual surgery began at 3:15PM.  All is well.  The surgeon was happy.  His concern now is an infection due to Carol being on dialysis.  Carol will remain the hospital for several days.  Pray, pray, pray!

I was in Pensacola for a couple of hours yesterday so I did not get an update on Dale Ellerman.  However, I do know he continues to need our prayer support so keep praying, please.

Miss Vinnie Brewer has not felt well for several days so please join me in praying for her.

Keep praying for Myrtle!

THURSDAY, 9/15/22

We were blessed with a really good day in our services yesterday.  The attendance was very good in both the morning and evening services.  The spirit was excellent.  Thanks be to God!

Carol Lucky has been scheduled for a 1:30PM surgery to repair her hip.  The surgeon says it will be at least a three hour surgery due to the complicated manner.  Lord willing, I will drive over to Pensacola to be with Terry during this time.  Pray for the surgery to go well.

Dale Ellerman was moved to a rehab facility in Birmingham yesterday afternoon.  The thought is that he will be there for five days.  Pray for Dale’s pain to subside quickly so he can come home and Vanessa can return to Virginia.

Sammy told us in the morning service yesterday that Myrtle was having a good day.  Keep praying!

Our “Ladies Helping Hands” ministry will meet tonight beginning at 6:30PM in the Preschool Building.  All ladies are invited to attend.

Missionary P.C. Alexander will be our guest messenger in all three of our worship services this Sunday.  We will receive a love offering Alex & Alice.  Pray, attend, and give as the Lord leads.

Adult choir rehearsal this Sunday, 9/18, beginning at 4:45PM in the choir room.

All baptismal candidates are asked to meet with me this Sunday, 9/18, beginning at 5:00PM in the 38-45 SS room.  This is in preparation for the baptisms at Presley’s Outing on 9/25.

WEDNESDAY, 9/14/22

Carol Lucky is in a Pensacola, FL hospital and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning if all goes as planned.   Lord willing, I will drive over to sit with Terry while Carol is in surgery.  Keep praying for Carol.  She is a lady of very strong faith.

As far as I know, Dale Ellerman remains in a Birmingham hospital.  I hope to get an update later today.

Regular schedule on our campus today – morning and evening.

Missionary P.C. Alexander will be our guest messenger this Sunday morning and evening.  I am looking forward to hearing from the Lord once again through Bro. Alex.  Pray for the services.

I learned yesterday that Rhett “McGyver” Butler spent basically an entire day working on the back forty trying to whip it back into shape following all of the rains.  Rhett, and others like him, do so much on our campus and for our church without seeking any recognition.  God knows and He will reward them accordingly!

Our fall soccer season begins league play this Saturday, 9/17.  Bro. Abel is coordinating the leagues and many others are helping.  William Sessions is definitely a huge help to Bro. Abel and I am thankful for his helping heart too!

Joey Bosarge came by the house late yesterday afternoon bringing stone crab ready to eat.  I was out mowing and by the time I got in the house Lisa had devoured all of them.  She said they were delicious!  Thank you Joey & Bibbi for this kind act.

Over the past few days, I have received some extremely nice correspondence from random folks.  Not sure if they know something that I do not know but I am grateful for the kind words shared.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.
